We had the company out to our house 4 different times for the same issue. They said it was fixed and then another guy came out and said the previous guy didn't know what he was doing and he installed the valve backwards on our water softener. Had ANOTHER guy out to tell us that they still didn't install it correctly and that is why our softener was not using any salt. Now the company is claiming I owe them over 965.90 for credit card processing fees. Will be filing a lawsuit against them! read more

I have had this company several times and they have always been great. Their prices are very reasonable and i have found all of their help to be very friendly and they know what they are doing. Recently i had some work done and because it was not a good time financially to have the work done, i spoke with April and she was able to work it out so i could get the work done. I was very hesitant to get it done because of the experience i had last year with LAVEN ELECTRIC AND THAT EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE. I saw the laven reviews online and they were good but the owner would not come to the house and see the mistakes. I had to consult with a lawyer and was advised to take them to court even the kansas attorney general told me to take laven electric to court which was more expense i could not afford. i just took my losses on that one. he made a small compensation but not enough to fix the problems he left me with. April at Denney's restored my faith that there are actually some good companies around that will do good work and stand behind their work. April went above and beyond helping me arrange to have the work done and there were absolutely no problems in getting the work done correctly. April is a great asset to Denney's as i am sure is true of all of their employees. read more

Plumbing services seem daunting, at least to me. I am always wary of these types of services and the cost they charge. Unfortunately there are just some things that I do not have the knowledge to do such as install a water softener. There are also items I refuse to do, such as installing toilets. So I contacted JF Denney Plumbing & Heating after finding them on Home Advisor. I was in the market for a whole house water softener and Denay was prompt with her response and provided a quote online for the water softener. I also decided to change out all of the toilets in my home and Denay provided a very reasonable quote for the toilet installation as well. Denay, the water specialist also visited the house for a consultation and tested our water - this was greatly appreciated and I very much liked the little chemistry experiment she conducted to show the hardness level of our water in the house. As far as pricing, I thought they were pretty competitive. There are lower cost water softener systems out there but and I did receive quotes on the low and high end. However, I was sold on Denay's presentation. I also was keen on the Kinetico systems because they run without electrical power. On the day of installation, Jared H. arrived on time and was very friendly and respectful of our home. He was quick yet efficient of the install of the water softener. He also explained the entire system properly and answered all the questions we had about them. He was just as efficient when installing four toilets. He even brought up the entire packaged toilets upstairs and downstairs by himself without any aid. I was amazed at his strength and productivity so I would most definitely request Jared as your installer if you're looking at getting work done from JF Denney. read more

Deborah is horrible customer service rep for this company!!! We had work done by Denney and when the bill came we were overcharged for the materials and charged for a return fee to come back to the house to complete the job after the worker could not fix it the first time out. We were told there would be no return fee. The type of product that needed to be replaced was not made clear until the bill came out. For the two products the bill was $438. I did some research and found that the same two products could be purchased new for 150 and 180 (that was high end...the cheap ones were 60 and 120). A difference of at least $100. This was not my biggest frustration. When asked about this discrepancy the lady (Deborah) on the phone became very short and rude. She then hung up on me by transferring the call to another person's voice mail and telling me to leave a message with Joey. When I called back she would not take the call. I have rental properties in the area and next time we need heating or plumbing fixed we will not be calling Denney. read more

I have used JF Denny several times for different repairs. Each time I had great service from the moment I called to schedule the work to the employee coming out to fix it. Once on a Sunday I had an emergency and called and left a message. Joey called me right back and told me what to do to temporarily fix the issue so he wouldn't have to come out and then charge me the after hours fee thus saving me alot of money! Chris Jones and Kyle were the main folks helping us and they are very knowledgeable and completed all concerns that we had. We love the systems and are very pleased with their expertise. Our downstairs 3x3 shower was leaking inside a closet. They sent a serviceman who came by and told us that the caulking needed replaced. He was there less than 10 min and did not perform any work. A few days later he came back out and dug out part of the caulk (took him 15 min) and then told us we just needed to replace the shower because ours was cracked. Then he left. They sent out a man to give us a bid a few days later and the price was way too high (compared to the other bids we got). So we decided to go with another plumber. A month later we got a bill--for over $260 !!!! Just for the serviceman coming out twice (he only did work on one of those visits). All in all we were charged over $260 for about 40 min of his time on the service calls. When my husband called to question the high bill, the receptionist acted like she didn't care. They did take off about $90 from the bill, but we still owe $175 for about 40 min of work. If you have a big bank account, then go ahead and hire them, but if you are pinching pennies don't!!! Also-- beware that you will be charged even if all they do is show up and tell you what the problem is--even if they don't actually try to fix it then. They probably do good work--but I wouldn't know as they didn't do anything--they just charged us. read more
