Nothing was aligned to center. Caulk failed after 4 months.

I am truly sad to leave a poor review for Taylor Plimbing. Cheryl, Jason, and Justin are all really great people. They get 5 stars for who they are/customer service. They replaced a toilet for me that has zero issues and Justin went out of his way to tighten the nut on my water main. For that I am grateful. On to the bad part. I had Jason and Justin finish a tub and wall surround for me. It was initally took out as our showers are back to back and the valve broke in the wall. The person who was helping us went MIA after installing pex piping and fixing the floor. The first day they came to do the job they were terribly sick. Should not have been out on a call. I think the cold medicine caused their reasoning to be off as they drilled the wrong wall of my surround, which was also put in upside down. They did replace this at their cost. The second time they came back and finished, everything appeared to be ok. The alignment was a bit off, but they assured me with caulking it would be fine. As soon as I went to take a bath the stopper did not work. Justin came back a fe we days later to fix the stopper. Cheryl called to check how it was. I told her the stopper worked, but the tub had cracked (I think due to over tightening). She recommended I call the warranty on the tub instead of possibly taking responsibility. I understand as they probably lost money on my job after needing to purchase a new surround. Im going to include photos and video (if yelp allows) to demonstrate my issues. This tub was installed October 2018 and it is now February 2019. The surround is not supported and moves causing the caulk to crack. I did not know water was getting into the caulk and exiting the side of the tub. Now the floor has more water damage and moves when I step near the edge. I am going to need to tear everything out to fix the floor again.

Maybe add an extension to the pipe, the aluminum tape will only hold for so long.

Nice enough people but $152. for a plastic toilet handle install that took approx. 10 minutes seems too high to me.

SEARCH NO FURTHER! We had the greatest experience tonight with a late-night emergency main line…read moreservice call! Nothing worse than getting ready for bed, to find all the drains in the house are backing up. Time to call around... I first called one of the well-known plumbers you hear on the radio, and was surprised to learn there was a $99 +$265 emergency call out charge (a total of $364 before any repairs are even made!), and a 2-hour response tj. I came here to Yelp, and found Mike with Ace's Plumbing... most 5-Star reviews in the area. I called just before 9PM and Mike answered, said he'd be right over (though he was getting ready for bead as well when I called!). He was at my house within 15 minutes, diagnosed the issue within 5 minutes, and was soon running a snake down the main line! Was a total of 30 minutes and the job was done! So glad we searched Yelp and found Ace's! In the end, it cost us LESS THAN HALF of what the other guy wanted just to show up (not to mention a 2-hour response time). Thanks again Mike, you saved the day and saved us a ton of money!!!

I called Ace's Rooter for a clogged drain in my basement floor. Mike was fast to respond and…read moreactually came 30 minutes earlier than stated. The clogged drain was backing up in my basement about 3 feet diameter. It was a 15-20 foot line that ran toward the main line. The water went down the next day when Mike arrived. Mike said if he has to clean out the main line that would be 575, but he would clean out the small line for free. Mike put the camera down the small line which had a handful of small fingerlie type branches in there which shouldn't be. Mike said the pipe was bad and really needed to be replaced. He checked the mainline while I was upstairs turning on water for him. When i came back down stairs he said he already ran the camera down the main line and it was fine. I asked him to show me with his camera because I had just bought the house a few years ago and the house inspector showed me where there were a few branches at the end of the line that would need to be cleaned out eventually. Mike ran the camera again and there was sitting water at the end. He said he could clean out the lines but that would be 575+220 after he just told me he would do the small line for free. I then asked him for a rough estimate on replacing the small line. He got on the phone with his concrete buddy and was whispering in the corner on the phone. Comes back and gives me a quote of 9700.00. I ended up only having him clear out the small line and he ended up charging me 575.00. This guy does a bait and switch on his pricing, so I would get everything in writing on how much it costs before he does any work. I won't be using him again. He gets a 3 for his quick response and that's all. His pricing a 1. His integrity a 0.

I usually use another company for all my home needs but I decided to see what they would say about…read morea recent home repair. I was able to easily set up an appointment online within a time frame that would work for me. They called prior to the technician coming out. The technician was professional and friendly and I feel like the quote they gave me was reasonable compared to other companies. They do charge a $49 service fee normally but that's relatively lower compared to other companies. The technician waived the service fee which was extremely nice and not expected. I did end up going with the company I normally use but only because they quoted me a lower price for the same thing but I would consider using Mission in the future if needed.

Be very cautious with Mission Plumbing, Heating and Cooling…read more My neighbor recently had Mission out for a service call; the problem was with the control board in the air handling unit. The tech had to leave to get a board, but was back within a half-hour and spent a little over two hours total, including the time to get a new board. The board was under warranty, so there was no cost for the board. He was charged $1,063.48, but given a 10% "over 65" discount, so total charge was $957.13, which works out to somewhere between, $320 and $479 an hour. The technician also said that he was lucky that the board was under warranty, otherwise it would have cost and additional $1,000 for the board (this was also verified by the service manager at Mission). We got the model number of the board, searched for it on the Internet, and found it on the manufacturer's website (Goodman) for less than $100. We contacted Mission to discuss with the general manager twice; he never returned our calls. We then visited Mission in person to visit with him, but he "was in a meeting", so we were directed to Gabe, who confirmed the charges above. When asked about the pricing for the board, we were told that it is not generated locally, but by Southern. Mission was purchased in April 2021 by Southern Home Services of Maitland, Florida, which owns 26 PHVAC companies primarily along the southeast coast of the United States. Southern is, in turn, owned by Gryphon Investors, a private equity company. So not only does Mission need to cover their overhead locally, they most likely need to also provide funding for Southern, who in turn possibly has to return cash to Gryphon. It all flows uphill. Southern also owns C. M. Mose, another local PHVAC contractor in the Kansas City area. Moral of the story: Mission may have been a good company at one time when it was locally owned, but it has changed. Get pricing up front. Question the technician. If you don't like what you're hearing, go somewhere else, and don't hesitate to go with a mom and pop; quite possibly they can do the job just as well for quite a bit less money. They don't have the overhead that the big guys do (especially if owned by private equity).
