Oh boy, i don't even know how to begin describing truly how terrible this place is.
I made an appointment over the phone with Gary the salesman, after describing my situation of having a repossession in 2013 and a 600 credit score, he told me no problem, i can come apply and drive away today. Alright, cool. I go in and fill out the application and then it's time to meet with the finance manager, and I'm telling all the readers the truth, the guy was one of the most arrogant jerks I've ever met in my life. He asked question after question about my finances and spending habits and even straight up called me a liar when i told him i only had internet and no cable. Dude seriously asked me how much i spent on milk every week. They audit your entire life, but that's fine because i was trying to fix my credit and this seemed like the best way.
Now, they told me they were running behind and Gil, the general manager sent me home with a promise to call me back the very next day. Whole day goes by, no phone call. I call back two days later and Gil told me i was denied and could not give me a reason..umm ok.
I spent the next few weeks applying elsewhere, and even got approved at some, but i wanted to go through a dealership that reported on time payments to get my credit up, so i walked in and spoke with a salesman named Alfredo(this is the only guy there that seemed to have a good head on his shoulders) and eventually sat down with Gil again. Well we seemed to have a nice talk and told me the finance manager i spoke to makes all the final decisions(so when they sent me home the first time they could have just told me no and i would had respected that but for some reason they did not want to deny me in person) Gil asked me to send him an email explaining my repossession from 2013 and promised to call me back the next day. Three weeks later i am still waiting on that phone call.
Folks, please take my advise, if Youre credit isn't that great and you need a car, skip going to JD, they are nothing but liars AND are sketchy. They ran my credit SEVEN TIMES which is ILLEGAL I went to Paul Clark Volkswagon and got approved for a 2014 Nissan Versa for $250 a month and only a thousand down. I offered Gil at JD 1500 DOWN and 600 a month AND a co signer. Their loss.
Just say NO to going to JD. read more
