As my son completes pre-k in a few weeks, I have to give a shout out to Ms. Mayte and the team (especially Ms. Seena and Ms. Miriam) for all they have done for us. My son started the school year pretty shy and apprehensive and has blossomed into a bubbly and social preschooler. It's been an amazing thing to see. The school gives us regular updates throughout the week on the Brightwheel app and anytime I've had any questions or needed some time to chat, I would hear back from his teachers promptly. We get photos through the app as well that are always exciting. Sometimes it's a snap of playtime, a celebration, or completing a milestone and receiving kudos. Along with the basics of letters and numbers, my son has gotten to learn about different cultural holidays and has loved telling us what he's learned. He always seems to be doing a new activity and doing the half day program has definitely been the right choice for our family. Ms. Mayte took the time to really get to know our son and has been instrumental in all areas of his development this year. I can only hope that he will continue to have great teachers for the rest of his academic journey!

Not only do we have a view like we're lounging at a 5 star resort, but our apartment is beautiful with crown molding, and it also comes with ALL appliances such as a washer/drier. This is NOT the place to move if you're looking for a younger aged party vibe, but it is perfect for a business person or quiet young family. You can hear a pin drop (or cell phone text alert) from across the community, if you're outside in the evenings! SO quiet! Management and staff are exceptional, and they even take care of the small things such as burnt out light bulbs. We feel very safe here, and love the security patrol. The school is great, and we have never had an issue with parking. I can't wait for the new, huge, shopping center to go in across the street! Such an exciting, growing community to be a part of! This is the perfect place for my family to call home while we're waiting for our house to sell. I love it SO much here, that I think we will buy a house in this same Edgewood community next year.

Most frustrating place to live BY FAR!!!…read more The biggest issue was management. During a four-day water outage, residents were expected to survive on only four bottles of water each. That is nowhere near enough for drinking, cooking, hygiene, and other basic daily needs. The way the situation was handled demonstrated a complete lack of concern for the people living here. The move-out process was equally frustrating. Management failed to provide the hauled garbage containers residents relied on, resulting in trash piling up and litter being scattered throughout the complex. It made the property look neglected and created an unpleasant environment during one of the busiest times of the year. Throughout my time here, communication was inconsistent, problems were handled poorly, and management seemed more interested in doing the bare minimum than actually supporting residents. For the amount students pay to live here, the level of service and organization falls far below what should be expected. If you're considering The Lark Sacramento, I strongly encourage you to look at other options before signing a lease. There are plenty of student housing communities that treat their residents with far more respect and professionalism.
