I liked that the owner was personally present much of the time. I talked to a few of his crew and it is obvious that they have a good bit of experience working with wood floors. We are very happy with the finished product. These next comments don't relate to Tony's Floors... but you might find them helpful. We were not prepared for the smell. In retrospect, I wish we had booked a hotel room for about four nights. The house was a mess with sawdust everywhere. Orlando did a good job of taping up plastic and wrapping chandeliers and lights, but over time, some of that tape gave away and opened up. Then the smell of the stain and polyurethane is overwhelming. We stayed in our room, put towels under the door and opened with windows... but not pleasant. Then be prepared, you cannot walk on floors for several days. We were able to build a bridge using a ladder and a 2 x 12 board, but we got lucky. So prepare ahead of time, take everything you will need and book a hotel room. Finally, be ready to clean even after Orlando and crew complete their clean. They did a good job, but no way to easily remove the dust in every area. It's the reality. At the end, our floors look great and it was worth it, but it's not a simple, easy project.

Vinyl planks, carpet, vinyl baseboards-nothing was done right. I had them redo both. They damaged the walls badly, and money was deducted from them, to pay for drywall work and painting. Supposedly, owners best crew worked on my project, but they are absolutely incompetent. Floor is still very uneven in many places. Victor (owner) did not inspect the work, before calling me to report that it had been finished. I am extremely happy with the quality of the work & the color of my new floor; 1/2 inch thick by 5 inch wide plank from Mullican Flooring. I reached out to ND and another company based on the recommendations of coworkers. I did have to circle back fairly regularly to keep the ball rolling, but we selected New Diener's because their quote was hundreds of dollars less than the competitor. Mark Dubin (owner) and Miguel did an amazing job getting the job done quickly and thoroughly, even though I know it was a really small job for them relative to a lot of what they do - Mr. Dubin always made me feel prioritized. The seam is very hard to see and I'm thrilled with the result. I just wanted to recommend New Diener's because I am so happy with the job they did and Mr. Dubin is a true pleasure to work with (and, impressively, he makes architect level floor plan drawings for each of the jobs). He was willing to come at the end of the work day or weekends to ensure I didn't have to leave work midday and was always on time and very responsive. So, if you need carpet work, I can't emphasize enough how pleased I was with New Diener's - I really hope they stay in business a long time! Erick and his team were good to work with. There were a few hiccups with stain color, namely how it looked in natural light and with the lights on (partly due to the fact that I am new to wood staining and partly due to the red wall adjacent to the sampling we did -- please do your research if you are new to this). There were also smudges on the wall post floor staining, all but one of which Erick was able to fix up (after I noticed and pointed them out which, unfortunately, was after the project was deemed complete). Erick provided a discount for the inconvenience/the one leftover smudge, which I appreciated. Erick took responsibility for his and his team's work and was responsive to our needs and any issues. The floors look great at a reasonable price and I was able to support a small business, which I value (and hope you will too). His primary crew, who worked in my home, were respectful, skilled and kind. I am glad to recommend them to others. Edit: A couple days after the work was done, I noticed some left over materials from the project like wipe cloths, empty plastic bottles, etc. in the home (not a huge amount so not the biggest deal, but things do add up). While the actual flooring work is excellent, clean up/close up is not always 100% it seems, so that's the area I would recommend the company improve. :)
