At no point was I advised that pricing would differ from my previous services. After my appointment, when I went to check out, I was told the total was $75 higher than what I have consistently paid in the past. I calmly explained that I had not been informed of any price difference. Michelle then mentioned that the salon operates on a tiered pricing system but this was only disclosed after the service had already been completed. Unfortunately, her tone and attitude during this interaction were unprofessional and dismissive, which left me feeling disrespected. As you are likely aware, Virginia law requires that the total price of a service, including any mandatory fees or surcharges, be clearly communicated before the consumer commits to the purchase. Price transparency allows customers to make an informed decision, and in this case, that did not happen. Teesha did a wonderful job with my hair and was very pleasant to work with. However, situations like this not only create frustration for customers, but also place stylists like Teesha in an unfair position as the unexpected additional expense kept me from giving her a tip. Unfortunately, due to this negative checkout experience and the lack of clear communication regarding pricing, I will not be returning to Salon Khouri and will be sharing my experience with others. Everything I come in I leave with hair I feel confident in! I know my hair is a bit confusing because I do self dye or let my original color grow out. So we have to take it in stages sometimes - but Nakia is great at explaining why or how a certain thing is happening and what she recommends for maintence or to achieve my current goal with my hair.

I came by the salon to make an appointment two days ahead of time. I arrived before my appointment time and I saw it was busy but I figured I was fine since I scheduled my haircut ahead of time. I was told to have a seat while I wait for my haircut. After waiting 20 minutes without any updates, I left. Thankfully I don't live far away. As I was leaving the area, I received a phone call from the salon asking if I wanted to continue with my appointment. I pointed out how long I had waited and all I got was a "she's running behind." You guys kept saying no you will like it and it will lighten up. My previous highlights and this new work is not cohesive there is a huge difference between it. I had a consultation with you guys on my first appointment and you guys relaid to me that the work could be achieved and I will have a blended look. I made my point clear I want for the work to be noticeable. I do not want subtle look. I showed reference pictures multiple times. I would need to go to someone else to fix the issue which will be a corrective work costing even more than what it would have if you guys didn't mess up the hair. I try to resolve this very nicely with you guys. But you guys do not want to take any responsibility. You're gaslighting me to my face. I am so disappointed with them. I went in to get my hair highlighted to match my previous highlight that has grown out. I had a consultation with them 3 weeks prior to the appointment. Went in the day of and showed them the reference photo and explained to Sora that I want to get less damage as possible and showed the reference picture again. She said she can achieve the look by doing a "color" highlight. Even though room the first consult I was told that it wouldn't it be achieved without using bleach and I said yes that is fine. But when Sora the stylist said she will be achieving the look with minimal damage by using the color bleach I said ok you know best because your the hair stylist. She finished the work by basically doing nothing to my hair. The contrast on my from the perevious color was very visible and the looks worst then before. Then I asked for fixing it they said they will charge me all over for a fix up. I said no I am not paying anything else since I paid $220 already. They refused to fix it or refund anything. I am sooo disappointed at them.
