Unfortunately there was a lot wrong as well. I was told that this was one of the cheapest second hand stores to visit, however when visiting I really found the opposite. In fact, a lot of their prices were higher than Goodwill (which was mind blowing too me.) There were carts full of inventory sitting out which I felt was very disorganized. The prices were just uncomfortable high. So I went looking mainly for items that had the color sticker of the day. Also the toys were all up on top of clothing racks. I am 5'8 and had to stand on my tippy toes a bit to see the stuff up their. I can imagine this is done to keep kids from playing with them. However, this also feels like a bad situation for anyone who would fall under my height. What was really disappointing was that there VHS tapes were .99 cents. In this area (where most stores offer them at 10 cents each, it was steep) I did find a couple I liked and purchased. Had they been about half that price I would have probable helped clear their shelves a little better (or a lot). However, the worst part of this trip came when I found a Mixer, very pretty it had a sticker on it of 3.99. I plugged it in made sure it worked (which I think is a neat feature, most stores you are kind of taking a guess). When I got up to the register though the lady behind the counter discovered another sticker underneath(for 14.99). She called in someone else, and their tone was very accusing. I left the stores with tears in my eyes and will never return. I believe a class in how to handle people with Asperger's/Autism is needed at this store.

I was in looking for Red Wings merchandise and was told they should have some here…read more The layout is like a mix between a workwear store and a sporting goods store. They've got tons of product and the prices are pretty fair. I didn't find a ton of Red Wings stuff, but I got a T-shirt that was nice along with some Michigan stuff. Go Blue! Staff was not overly abundant but were helpful, and I did run into a nice cashier named Arelene (or Arlene) who was from Canada as well, and she was very helpful. Next time I'm in town I'll probably see what else they have there. Worth the trip!

I asked the cashier twice to page someone to help and no clerks showed up. Finally asked the cashier again and he called to the back room. Whoever was back there said, "if it's not on the shelf, we don't have it", and refused to come out. Pissed off, I walked out. Two other's walked out at roughly the same time for the same reasons. Got home, got on the computer and guess what? Amazon has a "wardrobe" program for Prime members. Order stuff and it's shipped free, as in, no charge at all. Try on the items for fit, and return what you don't like, and pay for the items you want to keep. They even include a self sealing box complete with return labels. Dunham's obviously treats their employees like crap, and pays garbage wages, which is why you never see the same people there. Employees have no incentive to help sell the store items. With service like Amazon, Dunham's days are numbered. At least in Midland they are.
