Stopped in on a whim and holy cow I am in love with this store. You will find some pretty well known brands here (Patagonia, Vera Bradley) as well as some great boutique finds. I allowed myself one splurge on this visit - a gorgeous winter sweater-coat thing and I've ben dying to wear it every since and we are in some unseasonably warm fall weather. And if you visit their clearance store a few miles north on US-23, that's a whole other great experience. A+++++ read more

This place was a little off-putting. They have a lot of nice stuff, pretty pricey stuff mostly. I did like all the Willow Tree Angels and had never seen WT Angel cards before. I decided to by one for $3.50 or so but they have a $5 minimum for credit cards and I like to use my card, partly because of the good receipts I get while travelling and also for the record of purchases that come with my bill. So I grabbed another WT card to meet the minimum. The cards are pretty, though. read more

A northern Michigan treasure. I love this store. So many interesting things to buy here, including plenty of Northern Michigan gear. They carry a lot of Pendleton items, which are not cheap, but worth the cost. You can drop a lot of money here easily, but it's a nice store with great customer service and selection. Yep, $300 for a Pendleton throw blanket might seem steep, but the quality is great. I like the stock, for the most part, high quality items with hallmarks of good craftsmanship. They have an interior design/art studio/home furnishings area in the back. If I had a home on the lake up here- and I definitely want to buy one eventually- I know that my wife and I would be up here shopping to decorate and furnish it all the time. Her and I always walk out of here wanting to buy everything they have. It's a great store. They also sell Vera Bradley handbags, jewelry, men's and women's clothing and leather products, most of it of high quality. read more

My favorite store in the Western Hemisphere! We are from Ohio where we have wonderful shops in our college town so we are used to high end merch in small venues. O'Connor's has everything you could ever want in the way of home furnishings, clothes, accessories and decor. Except for groceries, I could just shop in this store and be completely happy. The staff is wonderful, and a trip to O'Connor's is a must whenever we are visiting our cottage on Lake Van Ettan. read more

O’Connor’s - Lake Van Ettan - Women's Clothing Near Me - East Tawas, Michigan

O'Connors is more than just your typical tourist trap for retail. Very high end clothes, furnishings, art, jewelry and décor goods. I was helped along by at least two sales people. I was the "tourist" and not really looking for much of anything. My purchase was a very nice Detroit Tigers Basesball cap (that fit my big noggin). Browsing there were beautiful posters of Michigan in the rear of the building. Side note: Look up! The cross beams are made from the local (now defunct) railroad company. Beautiful, thick, stamped wood that is historic in nature and adds to the O'Connors' beauty. There was a very special Swarkosky's crystal piece (brown bear - $500) that was gorgeous. I'm sure there were clothes in O'Connors that I would buy had I been staying more than 2 nights. Special place - nice and higher end merchandise. Not a problem. read more

Love this store. Owners are wonderful and their staff cannot be beat. I cannot rave enough about them. Truly a gem of a store. Need a dress for a special occasion or jewelry to go with it and it becomes a must destination. Beautiful home acessories too. I always go to their store first when I visit Tawas. They are a class act. read more

O'Connor's is a gem of a store, don't miss it if you get to East Tawas. I live in Ann Arbor, but I travel up to the Tawas area several times a year. I ALWAYS make time to stop in O'Connor's when I am in town. They have beautiful furniture (I purchased a charming painted chair there once, and a lovely lamp), fashionable and high quality mens' and womens' clothing (my husband always buys a shirt or tie there when he is in town), great jewelry, handbags and gift items. The owners and staff there are really friendly and incredibly accomodating. I rarely leave town without having purchased something for myself or a gift for someone else. (And then I go to that great chocolate shop a couple of doors down and pick up a treat for the ride home!) read more
