She had been there before and said the food was good and service wasn't too slow. There were no other customers eating in the establishment or waiting on food. A man came from the back, saw me and tuned around. Shortly after, another man came out and greeted me and asked how he could help. He seemed in a hurry, but I placed my order. The other girl's order came up and she showed it to me (see photo); she did purchase an extra piece of fish. When my food came out, I had a chat with Jack, who seems to be the one in charge. He's going through a lot with lack of workers. That explained a lot. He is very hospitable if you take the time to talk to him. I got home and sat down to eat. The Cole slaw was very watery- not my cup of tea. I was surprised to see purple juices from the purple cabbage that's in the cole slaw as well. I tasted my whiting, ordered as lemon pepper. I didn't taste lemon or pepper. I called Jack to make sure his cooks added the seasoning as ordered. He said it's a lemon pepper breading. I tasted the crispy hush puppies and they were great! The jumbo shrimp was succulent and deliciously cooked. I will definitely return for more jumbo shrimp or maybe the croaker next time. I also plan on trying the wings!!

I completed a pick up order online for my husband to grab on his way home. I ordered the fried popcorn shrimp salad with ranch dressing. I could not eat the whole thing in one sitting. For $10, that was a lot of salad. The shrimp were cooked perfectly with the right amount of crisp to the breading. The season was flavorful. The only small bit of inconvenience was that I didn't know what to expect on it. There were tomatoes but I took them off. So in the future, I would call and ask. My husband ate them with my leftover so it's not big deal but they should add a description to their online menu. Also, he said they were friendly when he went to the restaurant. And it only took them about 20 min to make it so that was another big plus. I will definitely be ordering again.

The energy in the interior was typical of a Mexican restaurant and could flex into being casual or a little more formal based on the kind of night you're having. Really good energy. We got complementary chips and salsa since it was our first time in. Usually there is a cost for chips and salsa, which totally makes sense because they are fresh made. Totally worth getting! I got guac and it was fresh and tasty. Also went with a vegetarian combo. It was absolutely the best vegetarian Mexican food I've gotten in the triad. The sauce had depth and I the portion was more than generous. This will definitely be my new go-to for Mexican in the traid!

When we walked in, I immediately noticed the color scheme, I love the colors they chose for the walls and booths and chairs as well as the way they tied the wall art into the color scheme! Our server was really sweet. She gave us plenty of time to review the large menu before asking if we were ready to order. The chips came out piping hot! Very rarely does this still occur at a Mexican restaurant! The salsa was smooth with a slight bite. I ordered the quesabirria tacos and they were delicious! The cheese could have been spread out more as it was mostly at the bottom but everything tied together nicely. My husband did a combo platter and enjoyed his beef taco and beef burrito. The only thing I was not a fan of was the queso fundido. The cheese was very thin and the chorizo did not melt into it. I would have rather been given less cheese that was thicker than to be given thin queso. We will definitely to back to try some more menu items!

My initial introduction was when they were located in Stock and Grain Food Hall. I had wanted to try them for a while and luckily I was invited to a Yelp Event where I was able to sample some items. In all fairness, I absolutely loved the service but maybe it was an off night but at the time I wasn't a fan. But as some months passed, they are no longer in Stock and Grain but in a food truck in High Point. I highly suggest following their Facebook page for dates and times where you can catch them. The service was still wonderful and the food was really good. The sweet potato cornbread is one of my favs and the chicken wings and catfish bites were fried to perfection. I love collard greens but do understand, everyone makes them differently. My family is from eastern NC so we make ours savory, theirs have a little sweetness to it. I don't mind it but this time around was so much better, it was very well balanced. The mac and cheese was delicious as well. Although not pictured, do check out their Russian tea drink. I felt very nostalgic and I have no other words but it was great. I try to savor it when I get some. I wish he sold them in half gallon jugs because I would buy it. That's how good it is. They have other items like Rasta pasta, oxtails, pork chops, and turkey wings. I can't wait to come back and try more food. Give them a follow and check them out. You won't be disappointed.

We also got biscuits and they came out super dry initially but our server got us fresh ones and the fresh ones came out a little undercooked and she took them back without us even asking! The service was impeccable. The chicken and waffles looked delightful as well. The place is very posh and they have parking behind the building and make sure you walk towards the outside of the building towards their ground floor entrance! I'll be back soon!

It closed in early February for what were supposed to be renovations, only to reopen months later with a new name and a new concept, trading slightly upscale Southern for more upscale Italian. In some regards, this makes sense - it fills a void created by the closure of Lulu and Blu - but in other ways, it's a massive gamble. My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner, and while it was an overall pleasant experience, it also made us miss Magnolia. The higher price point is the chief culprit. Otto and Blue offers pastas in the $20s and entrees starting in the $30s, bread and olive oil not included. While we were celebrating an occasion that merited such a splurge, it's hard to imagine the restaurant remaining competitive at those prices once the sheen of newness wears off. Look past that, however, and Otto and Blue shines in both ambiance and service. It's classy without being stuffy, and the dark turquoise tones suit it well. Allison, a Magnolia Blue mainstay, was personable and attentive and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Otto and Blue's menu offers apps, salads, pastas, and entrees. It's predominantly Italian albeit with a few options for the steak-and-potatoes crowd. The dishes range from recognizably classic (rigatoni Bolognese) to conspicuously elevated (halibut piccatta). After mulling over several offerings, we went with the bread service, tagliatelle, and duck cacciatore. The food ranged from fairly good to outstanding. While $9 for bread is a tough pill to swallow, they executed it as well as they possibly could have: a hot, fresh ciabatta with tasty herb butter, olive relish, and a quality olive oil-balsamic combo as accompaniments. The cacciatore boasted a pair of duck legs confit, and while I'm usually no fan of dark meat poultry, these were prepared well with crispy skin and plenty of meat. For a typically hearty dish, the sauce seemed light (and a bit subdued), but that could be a consequence of serving atop polenta (more absorbent) rather than pasta. Speaking of pastas and sauces, the tagliatelle hit a nice balance of creamy and zesty without swimming in its white wine lemon sauce. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal ended up being the dessert that Otto and Blue kindly offered as an anniversary gift. A scoop of vanilla bean gelato came adorned with a Biscoff cookie, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of salt. If salt and especially olive oil on ice cream seem vaguely blasphemous, don't knock it until you try it. Each bite was thoroughly delicious. It's a given that good food doesn't come cheap, but even so, Otto and Blue has no margin for error to justify what it charges. On food alone, it was close but not quite there. However, the overall experience made it worthwhile, and I have no regrets about dining here.

We had the burger and gluten-free risotto, and both were very good. The wine list is a strength, with plenty to choose from. Prices are a bit high for Jamestown, but the food and variety justify it. The thing that really stood out for us was the gluten-free options, which goes well beyond the usual salad and grilled chicken: cauliflower crust pizza, quesadillas on a gluten-free tortilla, risotto, and shrimp and grits, plus the meats, salads, and sides that are gluten-free anyway. You don't see that many real options on one menu very often. If you eat gluten-free, put it on your list; if you don't, the food and wine are reason enough to go.

Everything was delicious, although my partner wasn't a huge fan of the short ribs. The trout and salad were both excellent. The cheese dip was delicious. The sides were a standout, especially the Parmesan spaghetti squash, which I highly recommend. We had to put some extra salt on the sides, but that's purely personal preference. They also had several reasonably priced drink specials, which was a nice surprise. The service was amazing--friendly, attentive, and a big part of what made the meal so enjoyable. Overall, a really solid dining experience, and I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu.
