We couldn't get anyone to help us. We were handed a piece of paper to complete with our information. Apparently you need an appointment, however the ad didn't say that. We went there because they offer 3D drawings and design. We wanted ideas. We drove 40 minutes and turned around 15 minutes later and went home. Apparently it's geared toward contractors, not individuals. We may use them later, however our first impression was cold.

Their guys showed up on time. They were courteous. They were respectful of us, and respectful of our home. They asked for our input when they got to a part that required some judgement. They performed mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and drywall work. All done nearly to perfection. And they passed the acid test; after they left, I noticed two small things which I thought could have done better. They returned immediately and made these right. And they sent an invoice almost a week later (giving us an opportunity to discover any other issues, which we did NOT), and the invoice was for the exact amount of the estimate. They accepted my credit card payment over the phone. Our job was a small one, but they have definitely encouraged us to contact them again for our next job - small or large. He was responsive to my texts. Our installers Christian and Reid were very organized, respectful and worked very well together as a team. It was serviceable, but the honey oak builder-standard did not go well with the grey floors. Oh well, we made it work. After 7 years in the house, the finish was wearing, and some of the drawers wouldn't stay closed; we could finally say it was time to make the kitchen ours. I got quotes from several contractors and ended up going with Dan from Better than New Kitchens for several reasons: 1. He spent TIME with me to understand what I wanted; he also wasn't afraid to make recommendations to change what I initially thought in the interest of budget and what would actually work for my needs. 2. The quote was detailed. It included all the special features that we discussed, including separate pricing for some options I wasn't sure would fit the budget but wanted to consider. In quotes from other vendors, I couldn't tell if they had actually had listened to me and they did not include all of the features and options discussed. I work in requirements myself (software) and having all of it spelled out was very important to me so for sure I knew what I was paying for. 3. Dan's passion. This guy loves his work, and you can tell. All of that came to fruition in the build. Super efficient, professional team, and my kitchen is beautiful. No surprises! We didn't just refinish the existing kitchen; we also extended the kitchen against the back of our dining area wall. This gave me an amazing appliance garage, a mixer stand that pops up from a cabinet, and way, way more storage space. Highly recommend Dan and his team.

When possible I like to support small independent local businesses and made the call for an estimate . Dan the owner spent a lot of time at our in home visit to review the scope , made great suggestions on 2 new pots and pan drawers and assured us we would not know they were refaced but would look like new cabinets . We chose a beautiful Maple wood with new drawers on amazing soft close silent hardware . The work crew was professional , skilled craftsmen that figured out every little corner and angle to perfection . I am amazed at the quality of work . The transformation is stunning . My adult daughter just saw the new kitchen today for the first time and was so impressed she thought it was all new boxes from the ground up !
