Quality Masters Appliance Service - 3-year Old Dryer

Quality Masters Appliance Service

Recently our dryer stopped heating out of nowhere. Our warranty unfortunately had not been renewed,…read morewe completely overlooked that so we were unable to use Whirlpool to fix it. We have only ever used them so we had no idea where to look. My wife enlisted Yelp to help us. She put in some request for quotes and received a few back pretty quickly. We had never used that but it was very helpful. Quality Masters was the first to respond and then also took time to message back and forth with her. The other companies were not as friendly and responsive. We also read their Yelp reviews, which we all good, so we figured we would use them. We were able to make the appointment for the next day and were able to do it all through text. It was very simple for us! There was a moment of uncertainty but they were extremely professional and friendly. I was going to be home while my wife was at work, so on the day of our appointment, they were running early. They called asking if early would be ok, so our appointment was moved up. I cannot remember his name, but the technician that came was very knowledgeable and professional. He pinpointed the issue immediately. He discovered our dryer was clogged with lint and the coils were bad. It makes sense since we had never had our vents cleaned. He was able to replace the coils, as well as sucking out as much lint as he could with his tools. Unfortunately, they do not clean vents like that but again, he could help us out with some of it. He also made suggestions as to what else needed to be done, really with just getting the vents cleaned. They also take your payment online either with credit card, for a small fee, or Zelle or Venmo. The invoice will be emailed to you and allow you to pay that way. Personally, we do not prefer to pay for services with Zelle so we used a credit card. It was very simple. I thought overall the price they charged for the coils and cleaning, was very reasonable. It did not cost us much at all. I would definitely use them again, should we need something fixed.

An Absolute Masterclass in How to Lose a Customer: Terrible Service, Zero Accountability, and a…read moreRefund That Makes No Sense. In my 63 years, I have experienced some disappointing customer service, but this company has managed to set an entirely new standard for incompetence and disrespect. If you're considering using them, save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere. I contacted them on October 2, 2026, because our LG freezer had stopped working. The initial technician was pleasant and spent approximately two hours diagnosing the problem before determining that a specialized technician and additional parts were required. I was assured the part would be ordered the next day and that the specialist would arrive Monday. That was apparently wishful thinking. The part wasn't even ordered until Monday, and what followed was an exhausting parade of excuses, delays, and absolutely abysmal communication. Day after day, I had to chase them down for updates because apparently keeping a paying customer informed is too much to ask. Then, on Thursday evening at 6:37 p.m., they texted to say a technician was on the way, despite my having repeatedly told them that this was the ONE time I was unavailable. At that point, the level of disorganization was almost impressive. After an entire week of wasted time and broken expectations, I canceled the service. Now for the truly unbelievable part: I had prepaid $1,009.27 for a service they never performed. I requested a refund minus the $122 diagnostic fee for the initial visit. The manager called and offered me a grand total of $620, apparently believing that withholding the remaining money was a perfectly reasonable way to treat a customer whose service they had failed to deliver. The manager's attitude was every bit as disappointing as the company's performance. He was rude, dismissive, and seemingly incapable of understanding that a business relationship requires something called accountability. Not once did he demonstrate any meaningful concern for the inconvenience his company had caused or make a genuine effort to resolve the situation fairly. Let me be clear: I was patient. I was understanding. I accommodated their delays. They failed to deliver, failed to communicate, and then failed spectacularly at making things right. And somehow, I was the one left fighting to recover my own money. The service was NEVER completed. Yet instead of taking responsibility for their repeated failures, they chose to make the refund process another frustrating experience. Apparently, customer goodwill means absolutely nothing here. I am 63 years old, and I can confidently say that I have never encountered such a spectacular combination of poor communication, unprofessional behavior, and disregard for a customer's time and money. Do yourself a favor: take your business somewhere that understands the difference between providing a service and simply collecting payment. I would never use this company again, and based on my experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business with them. One week of excuses, a service that never happened, and a refund that fell $267.27 short of what I requested after accounting for the diagnostic fee. What an absolute disgrace.
