I am a perfectionist myself and hard to impress, but Bob was amazing. We found Bob simply from taking his business card at a tile store in Norwood (Buddy's Discount Tile). The first time I called him on a Sunday morning, he answered right away and scheduled to come by the next night. He showed up right on time, gave a thorough explanation of what we could/couldn't do on our floor, and provided a written estimate on the spot. The price was reasonable and Bob said we could save some money if we pulled up most of the floor and handled uninstallation/re-installation of our appliances (stove & dishwasher). I was happy to do the labor there and it saved us several hundred dollars. Bob scheduled to come and start the work at the end of the week on Friday, and said it would be a 2-day job. My wife and I ripped up the old pine floor over the next few days with some tools Bob was kind enough to lend us! (Professional crow bar really makes a difference!) Bob said he'd arrive at 9 AM Friday morning to start, and boy did he literally arrive on time, like 9:00 on the absolute dot. He got right to work finishing up the floor removal we couldn't do, then prepping the floor to install a subfloor. He arrived right on time Saturday morning--actually a little too early as he was blocking my wife's car in the driveway!--and finished up the work by early afternoon. He is extremely detail oriented and was very particular about ensuring the tiles were laid down perfectly. He also suggested we tile the bottom of our cabinets (i.e. over the existing white pine) which we weren't too sure about, but it looked awseome when done... like they're just floating above the floor. In addition, we needed a couple of stairs to our basement replaced--they were seriously cracked--so he offered to fix them. His assistant picked up some new pine (I paid them back, of course) and he installed them in a jiffy. Plus our basement door was not closing properly and he offered to fix that as well. He did both these fixes unrelated to the floor project free of charge. The floor came out great and looks amazing. All in all it was an absolute pleasure to work with Bob; I would absolutely recommend him; and absolutely hire him again in the future. Bob is much more than a "tile guy" -- he is a very experienced and skilled general contractor and all around great guy.

Also, I wasn't sure about their quality because what you see is exactly the opposite of what you're getting. That left me wondering where could I get a slab of Quartz stone to place over my battle damaged wooden dinning table. Luckily, my wife's friend recommended Stone Design Pro Inc., in Weymouth a place that I also recommended by a friend of mine who used to work there. They have any type of natural or man made stones you could possibly think of. Their showroom is very tidy just as you would expect similar to Jordan's. The price is fair. They came twice. First to measure our fireplace. Second to do the installment. So, without further ado, I placed a 40x72 1.25" thick for the dinning table and also asked them to provide me a quote for the fireplace. And here are the final products. Couldn't be happier. P.s. They finished glueing everything cut chop chop in less than 2 hrs! Also bravo to Chu Loi who helped us leveled the ground for fireplace. Initially, it was tilted. So he layered another another piece on top another but you can see the craftsmanship of cutting the stone at an angle. I'm a happy customer.

Surprisingly the low ball option were t so low. We chose DK&M after looking at reviews and remodels they've done. What was essentially a new cabinet project turned into a much bigger job with a wall separating the kitchen and dining area knocked down and a large opening cut in the wall separating the kitchen and living area. We went with a cabinet design from Waypoint that while a standard cabinet are proving to be solid and well manufactured. DK&M (Bill Reed) explained the process and timeline very well and then met the timeline exactly. We replaced the range and microwave as part of the project. Given this was done between January and March 2020 eg COVID time we were surpassingly unaffected by material issues and in fact most vendors were ahead of schedule. They partner with Envy Remodeling and the team Rob sent in was top notch. Very professional, on time , and excellent at their jobs. I did some rough analysis of material and labor costs and based on the hours spent onsite and similar big box store cabinet prices we feel it was a fair project cost. Looking back it was a very smooth process with no drama. We would highly recommend this team for any remodeling job.
