There were mistakes on our tax returns, that should have been reviewed before forwarding to the IRS. It took 2 to 3 years to resolve the issue and receive compensation. We then receive a call from owner yelling that we have a choice to apologize to the receptionist or take our business elsewhere, without asking what happened. That was an easy and welcome decision. Nakata Consulting is an essential piece of my business life!!…read more But for the rest of this review let's just be on a first name basis and talk about Joe. I would have probably given up the whole self employed business long ago if not for Joe. I found Joe through some other colleagues in the Boston photography network years ago. I'll admit I was more than clueless about how to keep my bookkeeping organized and he took me under his wing, took the chaos and made sense of it all. Now I do most of the bookkeeping on my own and he gives it a look once a month to make sure I'm on track. In a "teach a man to fish...." sort of a way. Monthly, quarterly and annual taxes are a breeze now and I can confidently make business purchases and know the overall health of the business. If you're a small business (he has a keen knowledge of the photography business - take a look at his client list!! http://www.nakataconsulting.org/links.php ), but also for restaurants, etc... He'll do your sales taxes, bookkeeping, consulting and all at reasonable rates. I've referred him to friends (non-business owners) as well and he'll definitely take care of you. So walk right past H&R Block and call Joe!
