I advise everyone to boycott this repair shop. Mr. Diep is dishonest and scams his customers. I used to go there for repairs many times because someone at the shop recommended it. About a year ago, I went there again for a repair, and he said my Honda's transmission was leaking and that I risked the engine dying on the road. He then convinced me to buy a white 2003 Honda from his body shop. After driving it for only one day, the warning lights kept flashing. I went back and forth three times, trying to return the car, but he refused. I bought the car for $3,400 USD. He only reduced the price by $100. Later, the "check oil" light kept coming on. When I took it back for repair, he said, "There's nothing wrong, no oil leak." I took the car to both a Honda dealership and CarMax for inspection, and they both said the car had many issues. Mr. Diep is a dishonest and unethical businessman who sold me a car that was practically falling apart. Later, when I bought car insurance, the agent said the car had been a total loss and the title was marked "rebuilt salvage." Mr. Diep, dishonest business practices won't last. Karma will catch up to you, and your daughter will bear the brunt of your actions. read more

I took my 2020 F150 that has never been to a mechanic, and I change my own Oil to J&A Auto repair. They identified a turbo tube that was broken. They said they could not find parts and I should take it home order parts and bring back when I had them. I ordered parts and when I returned they were closed for a long weekend. The parts were easy enough to install so I continued to install them. To my surprise all my bolts were missing and my engine cover was missing. I returned to ask for my parts once the shop was open again and they denied ever removing the parts. When you can clearly see where there's a cleaner area where the engine cover was. The owner stated to show him a picture of the engine before I took it to him. I didn't realize I had to photograph my engine before I take it somewhere. read more

Visited this shop for an issue with ignition coil and the fix did not last. I went back to get my car looked at again and the owner acted like he never worked on it. I told him to look in his system and he said he does not document his customers visits. His system seemed outdated and only showed results from 2017. He then told me "I don't like when customer say the same thing wrong" and went on to get frustrated at me when all I wanted was my car looked at and fixed. If the same thing is wrong then that's what I must say right? Well I don't know why I didn't before, but once I was told he wouldn't fix my car, I lifted my hood to look, while calling around for a mobile mechanic. To my discovery they had zip tied my ignition coil down. They never mentioned that this was the method they used and told me that replacement parts were included initially. Not only did they lie and cheat but they charged me $240 for it. I'm not the type to put up a big fight but I thought it necessary to leave this review. I feel played and bamboozled. I'm young with not much money to spare and it sucks to be misled and mistreated by people you spend your hard earned money with. God doesn't like ugly. Learn from me and at least make sure they are actually doing the work you are paying for. read more

I have a year 2000 Honda and J&A is an expert with this older car. I am also on a fixed income and need a shop that doesnot charge an arm and a leg and J&A fits this need when it comes to the dreaded bill. A few bullet points from personal experiences... - Diep has always contacted me about repairs before charging me when I leave my vehicle. - Diep has always charged me what he quoted me---that is, unless he lowered the price from the original quote. (This has actually happened! $500 down to $400!) - My brother's car's belt squeaked after leaving J&A after a replacement. The next business day, he fixed it, no questions asked. - My friend needed his trunk latch fixed. The part didn't exist. One of Diep's guys fabricated a part for the trunk with a welder. It took a few hours. My friend was charged what he was originally quoted. His trunk still works like a charm. - They had a guy from the shop drop me off at my house once when I couldn't get home. Me and my fiancé took our truck up here to get the AC fixed. We paid $650 and they didn't fix our ac at all. They replaced a wrong part when we took it back they told us they would make it right. When we picked up our truck again they expected us to pay an additional $850 because they didn't fix the original problem. I am very dissatisfied. I will never be returning. Another excellent experience! Diep and his team at J&A are the best in the business. Fast, honest, dependable. Words you don't usually use in the same sentence as "auto repair". Took my Jeep Grand Cherokee late this morning because the engine light game on. Lots of things can go wrong with a 4-wheel drive SUV, and I was braced for a big repair bill. They did a complete inspection, found nothing wrong, and didn't charge me a cent. Other places would have told me my blinker fluid and matter/anti-matter reactor were shot and would have to be replaced for $500. Cannot recommend this place highly enough! read more

The owner of this shop will go out of his way to make sure you spend only what you need to fix your vehicle. After running the Lexus through the diagnostic test. He would find all sorts of stuff that I already knew was going on with the vehicle. Starting only with essentials, we completed the repair and allowed to vehicle to pass inspection and at the same time resolve all issue at minimum cost. Came here because I was recommending J&A to a friend and wanted to show them the reviews, but I suppose I'll add in my own two cents while I'm here. My very picky, curmudgeonly dad has always done about 98% of all our auto repairs because he's a former mechanic/current electrical engineer - even full engine replacements! But whenever he didn't have the manpower or equipment for a repair, he called in Mr. Diep for reinforcements. This is the only place he ever trusted, and so do I. I've always been treated fairly here. Honest diagnoses, honest pricing, and honest work. Pricing has always been equal or lower to the standard price (you can look around online to find general ballpark pricing ahead of time). I had some front-end clunking that didn't resolve with alignment or balancing or rotating the tires, and I kept getting the answer that nothing was wrong, that is was just random clunking. But I didn't trust that I was safe until I went to J&A for a third opinion and they said the same thing (I had gone to an alignment/front end shop and a discount tire first). They could have lied and said they found something, but they didn't. And another thing: when I took the car to them for some other random issue and they came back and told me that in addition to the original problem, the timing belt was also looking mighty worn, I trusted them. And indeed it was badly worn, so I feel confident that they generally look out for their customers. They don't advertise at all that I know about, they really rely on the word of mouth, so it figures that they'd be honest. read more

Honest. Very reasonable prices. My car had "check engine" light on. Took it here and was told the air mess flow calculator is defected. They charged me $260 for parts and labor. On the same day I took my car, I asked them to check the lights inside of the gages as some of them are off. Got a quote to replace lights inside of gages for $350-$500 at other places; this place charged me $100 for it - including part and labor. Very satisfied with the quality of work and customer service. One less star as they forgot to give me a call and deliver my car before the end of business day. As they needed the part, they asked me if I'm going to pick up the car and re-drop it on the next day OR keep it in the shop until the next day. I chose the former one and asked them to pick me up (when asked before dropping the car, they said they would give me a ride to- and from- work). They said they would give me a call when things are slowing down. They never did. I called them 5 times between then and the next day - just to get the busy signal. So, I had to ask for a ride after work and before work to others. So, one less star for that. read more

This Asian repair auto-shop is the spot to go!!! I live about 7mins away, and Had no idea they were in my neighborhood. They installed a light bulb in my head light for only 35.00. The dealer was going to charge close to 300.00(which included the bulb and labor). I bought the bulb for 100.00 at auto-zone, and I still only ended up paying 135.00 total!! My mom discovered this place and several of my family's cars have been brought have been repaired by J&A due to the honesty and integrity of this business. When it was my turn for repair (brakes and rotors) I was quoted several hundred less then Firestone (even with one of their coupons!) and a few other local competitors. These mechanics couldn't even figure out what was wrong with my car after 3 days and told me to take it to the dealer or leave it there for a month. They also refused to pay for another tow truck. I had brought it in 2 days earlier because the service engine soon light was on and then 2 days later it just stopped working as I was driving it. They obviously didn't catch what was wrong with it.
