The "refurbished" spa appeared restored but upon further inspection there were many deficiencies. The topper is management would only correct majority of issues if I remained silent and did not inform the public of my experience. In short, they ripped me off. I paid over 7k (not including the headaches, loss of sleep and lengthy emails) for this "refurbished" spa and I might be able to sell it for $3000 List of what was wrong: Heater not electrically grounded, electrical box mounted flat , 5 leaks, rotten structure, motor mounted to rotten plywood, scabbed together OSB siding - improperly installed so that it would leak into the structure, one section of siding was not even replaced, 2 degree temperature differential, 3 non-working jets, "brand new custom fit lid" that leaks heat, insulation around tub removed and not reapplied, grimy jets, missing pillows, and delivered without any instruction manuals or guides. And as for the Customer Service, it was poor at best. Argumentative, unaccountable, manipulative, deflective, unsupportive and alarming. Aside from the larger leaks, their agreement protects Hot Tubs Galore with regards to not fixing any of these issues. They are quick to highlight and quote the contract with regards to what they are NOT responsible for and then highlight their service call fees. Quote: "All spas are purchased "as seen on showroom floor". You responded "not interested" to all extras offered thus the spa came "as-is"" These guys are scam artists, BE CAREFFUL. Some alarming statements from Hot Tubs Galore that clearly indicate the mentality of Management. They would black mail, threaten, avoid accountability and gas light me: Hot Tubs Galore, "Boo. We react very poorly to threats. I will NOT tell Steve (the owner) you said this, otherwise you'll get nothing except exactly what's on your signed contract - which specifically states this is not a warranty item." "We've since gone over and beyond what our official guarantee offers, and we're considering going even further with you, as long as you agree that we've been fair, then we can move ahead with no bad feelings and no bad reports online about us and we'll keep you on our "good guys" list." "So please, either let me know if I'm mistaken or uninformed, or confirm that you agree to proceed amicably and do no harm to our company. However, if you disagree with our proposal and choose instead to complain about us, then this will be the end of any extras or special treatments and you can go ahead and complain online about our policy." Below is a list of what Hot Tubs Galore's deems as "extra's" which is "over and beyond their policy": Their "policy" protects them from selling you "as is" I corrected most of these issues myself. It was easier, safer and way less of a hassle than dealing with Hot Tubs Galore. Now I can relax in a Spa knowing I won't get electrocuted, or having to deal with these clowns again.

    This is my favourite garden store. The staff are amazing. You can bring in a leaf off of a plant…read moreand they can advise you about what the issue is. For example: the brown tips on the Azalea is environmental, likely wind burn and not a bug that I need to spray. The staff is knowledgeable, polite and professional. I always feel good about buying my plants and summer flowers there because I know that they are well taken care of and are not 'stressed' like they are at the box stores. The best part is that most of the time you can see Brian Minter there. I love listening to him on CBC. He too is very helpful and is more than willing to advise on plants, solutions for pest control or how and when to fertilize. It is wonderful to have such an amazing resource in our community. I think we are truly blessed. The little cafe there is also a great addition. Before shopping you can enjoy a sandwich, or just grab a coffee. This year I am going to be growing in raised bed gardens and have gotten all of my Fragro herbs at Minters. I am also seeding poppies on my property, and was able to find California, Oriental and a hybrid. So that is wonderful. Great selection of women's clothing, gifts, cut flower department, cafe, tropical plants, seasonal plants, herbs, vegetables, landscaping perennials, annuals, tools, pots, trees and so much more. Last summer the tomatoes that grew on my deck where 10 feet tall. I had asked one of the staff which ones to buy, and I grew 7 different varieties. The produced wonderfully, and it was cool to grow heirloom plants. I will post some photos of the plants from last summer. Thanks again Brian, you have a great hub for the community. Excellent plants and great customer service.
