I went in to Birch Equipment Rental to rent a texture machine and the guy showed me how to load it and how to use it. He also provided me with some written instructions. Most importantly, he also gave me some helpful tips to make my project successful. Every single person there, was very accommodating and helpful. It made my home-fix-it project a lot easier since i had some knowledge and the right tools. These guys really do a great job a customer service! Thanks Birch!

Took it back and got a different one. It didn't work. I ended up going to Hardware Sales to rent a working carpet cleaner because by that time BE was closed . Birch Equip agreed to rent an aerator at 50% off for the inconvenience. I picked up the aerator today, paid $67 ( which was 50%off), got the aerator to my home and discovered the screw that adjusts the tines height was broken. I phoned BE and they said the adjuster was not an integral part of the working apparatus. He also reiterated I was renting it for 50% off. The RPM adjuster also was not working properly since it kept highly revving by itself while not being actively operated. I will take it back tomorrow, request a refund and take my businesssomewhete else.

Really not impressed with the staff on duty today. Went…read morethere to pick up some weed killer. Walked the entire store and didn't see it. Found a sprayer, which I did buy. Went to the cashier to pay for it and asked if they sold weed killer. She said, "Yes. It's in the farm section" I left my sprayer and went to go get it. The guy in the farm section ACTUALLY ASKED me if I needed help, which is more than any other staff member did! Told him what I was looking for. He said they did have it, but it's locked up and there is no one in the store that can actually sell it to me! I'm thinking "WHAT?!? It's the weekend! Do you not think that people in the weekends would want to weed their gardens!?!" Good God. That when most of us have the time off to do it!!! And NO, I'm not finished! So I get back to the till area, the next cashiers says she can help me. So it was all this girl could do to keep focused on ringing my item through. She was far more concerned with an entering customer with a puppy than she was providing me with great service! She even left the till while my payment was being processed to talk to the entering customer with the puppy. I was so pissed by the time I got to my truck I wrote this. Rona, if you can't hire customer service reps who treat their customers with respect and care, then you can't very well call them CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS! Or is it that just certain customers get treated in a friendly, courteous manner. Do I have to bring my dog in to get great customer service? Can't wait until Canadian Tire opens! Then I will never have to set foot in Rona again! Terrible experience!

I seriously am not ashamed to admit I did just that last November, boy did I feel smart when the sun resurfaced. I appeared ready to drywall and paint and rewire my house in style, if I possessed any of those skills. Redneck chic fashion options aside, my electrician boyfriend always finds exactly what we need for *that* project here, the staff are happy to wander us down to where we can find what we need (if for some reason his inner journeyman tool radar can't sense it pulsing in a well lit aisle full of handy doodads, whatchamacallits and things that fix widgets).
