It's the only place I have found locally that stays true to NY style pizza. And the people are super friendly.

Izzy's NY Pizza offers enough deals and "by the slice" options. We got a large because you get more pizza per square inch. It's just math. I also like pizza. The crust is thin and crispy--well, until the "NY Supreme" toppings made the middle a little soggy. I don't didn't mind and it seemed to bother the wife more than me. While the sausage, peppers, and mushrooms were fresh, I was hoping the menu had something more unique about it besides your obvious options. The crust was good too. Pizza by Yandy's is delicious but their crust was almost inedible. The chef is a multitasking machine, juggling a mountain of orders. Judging by the Sunday night crowds, it's a local favorite. I understand. Would I come here again? Maybe. I was just somehow in this area but I might prefer Italian pizza more than NY style. It's a good pizza but I'm also venturing into making it at home. Izzy's NY Pizza has various deals/specials. They also have ordering by the slice if you're unsure what to commit to. The crust was definitely thin and crispy like a NY pizza. For the type of pizza we ordered (NY supreme), the ingredients made the pizza sort of wet/soggy in the middle. Though the ingredients were fresh, this made the middle wet and not crispy throughout. Don't get me wrong, the sausage, pepperoni, bell peppers, black olives, mushrooms, and onions were superb. And there were plenty of the aforementioned ingredients. But, this appears to have weighed the pizza down and added more moisture to the crust. The main chef who made the pizza was in constant motion. As the dinner time rolled in, there were more receipts he was juggling. It was cool that he remembered the two only Asian folks who left behind a water bottle. Because as I waited in line to get to the front register to ask about the said missing water bottle, the chef saw me and handed me the bottle. He was busy the whole during we were there but was still aware of his customers. This place seems to be popular with locals with a lot of folks doing to-go orders on a Sunday evening. read more

I'm from New York and was looking for some good Brooklyn style pizza. This place is pretty darn close! The pizza is delicious. I usually get a personal pan size since it's just me, but the prices are good and they have specials. The service is always great and the place is clean. After reading the great reviews, and looking for a new pizza place, I decided to try two slices and the garlic knots. The garlic knots are delicious, sitting in a buttery sauce with a lot of garlic. The 2 cheese pizza slices plus two toppings came with a fountain drink for $8.00. Everything is cooked to order and the slices were ready in just a few minutes. The crust is delicious, made fresh everyday. It is thin and crispy. The homemade sauce is awesome. Neither the crust nor the sauce are too sweet. Plenty of toppings of both pepperoni and mushrooms. At 2:00 pm on a Friday afternoon, they weren't crowded and yet they were doing a good bit of take-out. It is a small restaurant, clean and very friendly staff. I will return. read more

Perfect fold. One of best NY pizza I had outside of the big apple. This past time I also tried their wings and we a pretty impressive. I got the mild one and they were on point. They were on the extra wet side which I have no complain with as nothing is worse to go home with dry wings. They were more on the softer side which is my favorite, my wife on the other hand like her wings very crispy so she wasn't a fan on those. The menu also has a few Italian dishes like chicken Parm, lasagna, etc. Never tried those but will in the future. MISCELLANEOUS Plenty parking as the location is in a strip mall. Spent $60 on a medium and small pizza, a Greek salad and dessert. I was really hoping to find a NY style pizza like Dantes, but the pizza and crust lacked flavor and seemed dry. The people here take pride in their little business. The place is immaculate. Super tidy, clean, comfy, and festively decorated. Feels like you walked into someone's living room. My sister had raved about finding this place near her, so took a trip with her while visiting to try it out. It's a very small, family owned pizza place. It's got an 80s vibe to it, reminiscent of those old school Pizza Huts. It sits in a strip mall and it's very easy to miss it for sure! We did take out and brought it back. One jalapeño and pineapple, and then a BBQ Chicken. Both pizzas were huge! I would rate the pineapple and jalapeño a 2/5 (just didn't feel like the toppings were super fresh), but the BBQ Chicken was really good! Also, loved the crust too. My favorite Lilburn pizza joint was bought out recently, so I needed to find a new one. A friend recommended Izzy's, and I'm back to having great NY pizza on my lunch breaks! The crust is absolutely PERFECT, toppings are fabulous, and just the right ratio of cheese and sauce. Authentic NY pizza all the way. What I ordered from their Lunch Specials Menu: 1 Slice w/ 2 toppings (I chose meatballs & mushrooms) & side salad combo. *Dough was a bit tough & meatballs had the consistency of packaged & overly-processed meat. Lemon pepper wings w/ fries combo. *Wings were fried hard, dry & way too salty. They were buried under a mound of lemon pepper seasoning. The fries definitely seemed like the kind you'd buy in the frozen food aisle. The fries were also dry & super hard, most of them were inedible. The only good part of my order was the side salad. The vegetables were fresh at least. It's a "One & Done" place for me. A hard pass, a straight "No." I wouldn't go back there to try anything else on their menu. read more

After looking for another place for a great pie, I discovered this place and noticed the excellent reviews. My son and I stopped here in the pouring rain about 10 minutes before they closed tonight. The nice lady at the register (might be the owners wife), still allowed me to order. Tonight Ninja Warriors was playing on the television and after watching it I discovered that two of the kids watching it were the owners kids. Seems like they are all from New York. Nothing worse than people who claim to be NY pizza, but are born in GA and just use the term "NY" to try to get business thinking it will bring in more people. These guys are the real deal. I purchased a personal pizza for my son and I and their large Greek salad. I gotta say, damn kid, these guys have excellent pizza. We drove to Chicago for pizza when I was a kid and I lived in NYC in my twenties. There's nothing like a delicious pie with great crust and I gotta give these guys where credit is due, these folks at Izzy's NY Pizza have really good crust, there dough is the best I had so far in Georgia.
