I was waiting here for a friend at this bar right by the Puerta de Elvira. It's easy to spot by the colorful mural covering the little corner this cafe-bar sits on.
I sat down and ordered tinto de verano since they were out of sangria as I waited for my friend. Everyone is laid back here and you can see different kinds of people.
I started drinking and enjoying the atmosphere as I listened to the various conversations going on. Without missing a step, it seemed like as soon as my drink touched my lips, the cook started making me a little tapa to accompany my drink. Before I had put the drink down after my first sip, a hot sizzling tapa plate was sitting in front of me. No one asked me or anything. It was like the just read my mind.
I kept drinking and the tapas kept coming. None was ever repeated but all were delicious. It was one of the best cafe-bar experiences I've ever had.
I had a couple of drinks and a few tapas and the total came to less than 5 euros! Granada is definitely the place to visit for amazing tapas and good drinks. read more
