We found this spot after looking at different bars to try out in Tequila, Jalisco. There wasn't really food aside from the peanuts offered as a sort of snack to enjoy with our drinks. When we arrived, we saw that this was a bottle shop/bar that conducted tastings and sold full size bottles. Well, those as well as some refrigerated regional snacks and chocolates made locally. We were quickly greeted and offered a seat upon arrival, along with a QR code to scan the drink menu.
We were more interested in trying out products that we cannot get our hands on in the Las Vegas area--Atanasio Origenes, G4 Extra Anejo, Cascahuin Extra Anejo and Reposado Siete Veces Diez (distillery and region only release). The lady tending bar was helpful and trying to make different suggestions, but let our inquiries shape what we wanted to try out. It was also refreshing to see that for any suggestions or questions we had, she was taking down our feedback or passing along the information to her manager.
It was a nice, clean setup from storefront to the other sitting areas and reminded me of a small restaurant meets upscale bar. Eventually, we ended up purchasing some of the Cascahuin Reposado and Atanasio Origenes since these were a bit harder to find. We couldn't buy the G4 Extra Anejo as that was their only bottle. They did give suggestions on where to find the bottles, but nothing for sale immediately.
They actually offered to pack our bottles in preparation for when we were going to pack and check in our bags for the trip home. This was a complementary service and came in handy for our purchases. Although the price was a little higher than some of the other bottle shops that we ventured into, this had a great selection, helpful staff, and a great atmosphere. I'd definitely check it out again on a return trip. read more
