Ixora is a genus of tropical evergreen trees and shrubs known for their clusters of vibrant, four-petaled flowers and lush tropical foliage, which are often used in Hindu worship. They are native to tropical and subtropical regions throughout the world.
Ixora is also the name of a community in Lake Worth located near S. Military Trail and Lake Worth Road. The neighborhood features single-story, single-family homes that were primarily constructed in the mid-to-late 1970s.
This neighborhood park serves the Ixora community and is divided into east and west sections. The west side of the park features a basketball court, benches, and a nice multistory playground with climbing equipment, slides, and swings. A paved walkway winds throughout the east side of the park, making it ideal for exercise, bike riding, and dog walking.
This park adequately serves the neighborhood for recreation, but if you are looking for a larger park with more amenities in the area, I would recommend visiting nearby John Prince Park. read more
