This park has access to the intracoastal waterway so you can launch a boat. You must have a permit which can be obtained online to use the boat launch. You can also purchase a $10 onsite daily permit. They have a lot of trailer parking. A cool thing I saw here for the first time was a kiosk from Padl.com that lets you rent paddle boards for $15 an hour. You download the app and they send you a number to unlock the board. The app will map your route and give you stats on your paddle. When you are done you just lock it back up. That's a lot better than trying to tie a board to the roof of your car, I definitely want to try it out one day. This is a very nice park to boat, fish, picnic, play, and exercise.

The 22 acre park however is a destination in itself. It is open daily 8 am until 10 pm. The park has a basketball court, 4 tennis courts, 3 lined pickleball courts and 2 soccer fields. There is also a restroom, playground, and benches. You can snorkel off of the beach or just admire the stunning view of the lighthouse. You can visit the park for free but there is a $12 fee to tour the lighthouse and museum.

There are plenty of covered picnic areas as well as pavilions and a gazebo that can be rented Next to the park is a new, 4 million dollar recreation center that offers camps and community events. The Constitution Park playground was dedicated in 1996 to Christina Holt, a victim of child abuse. Christina was discovered in a shallow grave in northern Palm Beach County after being beaten and placed there by here stepfather, Walter John Zile. He was charged with first-degree murder and two counts of aggravated child abuse. There is a plaque honoring Christina in the park.

As soon as my son began the vigorous exercises, the coach he was paired up started explaining how to do the exercises and corrected my son on what he was doing wrong. The coach, Coach James, did many different drills, from conditioning, speed, agility to making sure the players had a good form. They really stayed through their model. You will not be disappointed. They talked with our boys to help them understand that there is more to life than just being good at a sport. They worked on teamwork, good sportsmanship, and of course skills training. But, it is its own park, and it stretches from A1A Beach Road to US1! It contains: -a big parking lot that allows access to the beach across the street -a grassy area of pavilions and picnic tables -a pirate playground -the (elusive) entrance to the East side of the Juno Dunes Natural Area, which I wasn't sure actually existed. -a bathroom facility -its own nature trail This parking lot is a decent size with free parking. The pavilion of bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, especially if you are headed to the beach. The picnic tables are calling out for (kid birthday) party use, especially with the beach, playground and marinelife center all in walking distance. I came here specifically for the playground. It is shaped like a pirate ship. It has a sandy bottom. It has some swings also. It is not fenced, but it is set back from the parking lot decently and no where near the roads. I didn't get too involved with the pirate ship (because I perched at the closest bench) but my kids definitely loved it.

We have been at Perseverance for over a year now and I am so thankful for the program…read more Every season of the year Perseverance hosts a new basketball league from ages k-6th grade and even some through middle school. If your kid is interested in basketball, this is the only option if you want your kid to develop in a league with zero parent involvement and exceptional coaches. Recently we tried PBGYAA recreation league and I was amazed at how unprofessional and, to be quite honest, dangerous that the basketball games were. Palm Beach Gardens is known for having a bunch of professional golfers in the area. One of them donated 30k and his son's team won the championship in a game where the bias from the referees was undeniable. My son was in a lower division and, not only was the officiating biased, but the games were brutal and violent. For example, when a player would beat the opponent off of the dribble, the defender would tackle him. The shocking part is that the referees did not blow the whistle or award free throws ever. I shot film of the games and asked Benji, the commissioner of the league, if I could send him the footage. He replied "I was watching both games at the same time and they were called right." I told him "I understand why you don't want to see the footage. It is because you know that what i am telling you has merit and you are too stubborn to acknowledge any mistakes by you or your biased referees." I am including the PBGYAA experiences here because the league does not have a yelp that I can see and I'm hopeful that others will take this post to heart when deciding which basketball league to put their kid in. Me personally; we will be avoiding PBGYAA like the plague and sticking with Perseverance only from here on out: Hope that this helps anybody whose kid is interested in basketball. Perseverance really is special and we are so thankful to Nate, the founder, Coach Austin, and everybody involved with the program.

And there is basketball. But more like work and less like a fun activity for a child. Unless playing basketball is the most fun thing your child can do.
