Take my word for it This is a great dental office to go to. My previous background was 22 years in…read morethe dental field. New to Baltimore I was very hesitant to explore new dentist. Right before I was retiring from the dental field, I was temping at offices in baltimore and worked at this location for a few days. That's when I saw first hand how this office is ran. At that moment I knew I would become a patient here. I told myself when my new insurance start I will make this place my dental home. Fast forward 8 months later on 7/28/26 I had my first visit as a patient. My hygienist was Brittany. She was very attentive and took great care of my teeth. Dr.Umo was my preferred provider and he was very knowledgeable and attentive as well to my concerns. What I also found is a similarity in all of the heathland offices. They pride themselves in patient care and office cleanliness. Not only is it a good company to Work for but a great place to be a patient. Also to note, I drove 40 mins to This appointment and drive past soooo many dental offices. However for good dental care, I don't mind traveling longer distances. Thank you to everyone at Belair Family dental especially the front desk staff!

I trust this team so much that I bring my kids here and even referred my mother. It's rare to find a dental office that truly puts patients first, but this one does. They never try to upsell unnecessary treatments or pressure you into services you don't need. It's honest, compassionate care every time.

I've gone here for 2 check ups and have gotten 2 procedures done here. This place charges more than…read moreothers for some odd reason - estimate for nightguard here was around $250 whereas at another place it was $150 for the same thing, using the same insurance. The billing does seem to be shady at this place. The x rays that were taken came out blurry because the floor shook when the assistant went to close the door - this place is on the 2nd floor so it dies seem to be a consistent issue.

Please note I'm a patient with already VERY high anxiety. After arrival I was greeted by what seemed to be a very new secretary, who seemed like she had no idea what she was doing. (Not her fault). I filled out new patient paperwork and waited my turn. I was called back by a lovely dental assistant. (No issues with her at all. She was fantastic and obviously working for the wrong guy.) We chatted and made small talk while she did my X-rays and that really gave me some comfort. Casual conversation. Little did I know what I was in for when the doctor came in. Now mind you I've never met this man in my life, I'm 25 years old and he comes in calling me ma'am... thought okay weird.. but no big deal, let's get the ball rolling and get this tooth fixed. He looked at my x-rays then comes to look in my mouth. He's very dry. Poor bedside manner. Pokes around in my mouth a bit and goes "This is way worse than on the X-Ray". First thing out of this mans mouth after looking. What? How does that even make sense. Then proceeds to tell me even though I don't have any pain or discomfort there is absolutely nothing he can do to fix the tooth and it will need to be pulled asap and basically told me how terrible it will look because of the hole and how I'm going to be extremely unhappy with my smile. At this point I asked "okay so what do you recommend? What are my options?" He basically in a nutshell told me I had no options and that all that could be done was to pull the tooth. (Which I know is bs because I've had way worse tooth breakage and decay and I've NEVER needed an extraction?) so I'm not sure if he's incapable of preforming a proper root canal or just doesn't have confidence in his work but regardless I will never be going back. As someone who has had a significant amount of dental work I have never been treated or spoken to so poorly by a "professional". Not sure how they have so many 5 star reviews but sounds like this office is paying to have them removed. Steer clear of Dr. Hoch unless you want to be manipulated into a procedure you don't genuinely need.
