Total rush job and obviously poor quality because of it. He left a big scratch down the middle of the big nail and the clear coat was all messed up. Not smooth on the most important toe, the first one. This is the fastest pedicure that I've ever had in my whole life. Start to finish was about 20 minutes. I was asked to move out of the pedicure chair because my friend wasn't there yet, even though we made an appointment and they were slow. The owner got gel polish on my fingers so he decided to sanded it off with the drill and it caused me to bleed and he said only way to get it off. Polish was uneven and messy. He was too busy chatting with other guests than to pay attention to my nails, I guess. I called and made an appointment too. I wasn't a walk-in. The girl who did my pedicure was barely 18. (Not the problem) but I feel certain she wasn't licensed. I wouldn't go back even if I got a gift certificate. read more

My friend and I came here today. We both got the deluxe pedicure. They take their time with the exfoliating process, work on your calluses and cuticles. It was a great pedicure. I got a gel manicure and my nails look fantastic. My friend got a full set of acrylics with gel polish and her look great too! We both were super happy with this salon. This is absolutely the worst nail salon I have ever been to in my entire life. They cost twice as much as any other salon I have ever been to and the gentleman that owns it is a rude jack ass. Not friendly service, water was so hot for my feet it was scolding hot and the lady said, "oh it will get cooler,"and then when another lady came over she had to drain water because she couldn't even put her hands in the water to start the pedicure. I wouldn't consider their methods of cleaning tools etc sanitary either! And then she painted my toes so poorly she got the polish on my skin and then missed places on my nails!! I have used Ivy Nails for years and got good service from the owners. However this past Monday, I went and got a contractor (so I was told by the owners) . We discussed services offered, I got the basic. It was the worse pedicure! My nails were not trimmed straight, one was cut at an angle and too short on one side. The site is now red and swollen. Got my first acrylic (or so I thought) set here with my friends for prom. The nail menu board and the end total payment are COMPLETELY different. Didn't give much information to beginners...besides giving you the more "healthy" option of SNS nails for $20 more...that I didn't ask for. I asked for white nails. With no polish or real extensive labor my total was $45 bucks. My friend simply got a clear coat pedicure plus a manicure that totaled to $80. My friend and I went to get pedicures for her birthday. I watched them go from person to person with the same instruments, never cleaning them in between clients.There was an autoclave but it was never used. Their idea of cleaning out the foot baths was to spray Lysol cleaner. We had an appointment but sat for 45 minutes with our feet in cold water. When we asked them to make the water warmer they added scolding hot water from the water cooler. 2 days after the pedicure I got an infection on 2 of my toes and ended up on antibiotics. They were very rude too. Don't waste your money or time. Go anywhere else! read more

The nails themselves were super pretty and my nail tech was very friendly but i can honestly say that the owner was the biggest jackass i have ever met. he promised $50 for my nails and charged me $75. he started yelling at a customer on the phone and hung up on them before dramatically slamming the phone on the counter. mans just a dickhead. read more

I was in Rome searching for furniture. Bummed I didn't find what I was searching for, I decided on a pedicure/manicure last minute. I searched near locations on Yelp and decided on the establishment with the most stars. It listed Ivy Nails. I got the directions and easily found the place. There was available parking when I arrived around 5:30 PM. However, by the time I left the little town had filled up. The establishment is owned by a gregarious husband and wife. I learned she had 17 years of experience before starting her own business. Her inspiration was her family. She told me she loved doing the designs the most. Of course, I got designs on both nails and toes. While she focused on my toes the husband did my nails. He was funny. He kept telling the customers "$5 more" for additional requests. We all discussed and laughed about the comedian Anjelah Johnson. He also informed me of the future expansion plans. He's knocking down a wall and adding another row of massage chairs. It sounded like a great idea! He mentioned and promoted different aspects of the town and businesses in the area. He also gave suggestions about my nails. He removed the previous polish, as well as performed the manicure itself. I was impressed by the way the old gel polish was removed. He placed my hands in a small dish that held polish remover and only the tips of my fingers were disturbed while soaking. She did both paint jobs. I was very pleased with her artwork. Overall I had a great experience and would recommend the service to anyone. read more

Really did a great job with my gel polish. I'm super picky about it too - I work outside with my hands everyday so they need to hold up well. I always hate trying to find a new nail place, but we moved to Rome and I didn't want to keep driving to Cartersville just for nails. I will definitely be making Ivy Nails my regular place. I wouldn't actually give this place 5 stars but the staff here is very friendly and helpful and that makes up for anything this place lacks (atmosphere mostly). Decent place to come get a basic mani ($10)- pedi ($20). It's very small (only 3 pedicure chairs and just a couple more actual nail stations) and not many people working here. Our group of 3 fortunately was able to be taken right away for a pedicure (since all 3 chairs happened to be open) but others ended up having to be turned away after us because there just wasn't enough staff to accommodate. This was a Saturday afternoon though so it is to be expected at any nail place. My recommendation would be to just go ahead and make an appointment with them in advance. The pedicure was good, but very quick. The quality was there so I'm not complaining, just would have been nice for it to not feel so rushed through. The chairs were great quality (seemed to have been pretty much brand new) and super super comfy. Best pedicure massage chair I have experienced. Add $15 (to the $10 manicure) for Gel polish. I didn't receive a gel manicure so I cannot speak for it how long it lasts here but the other girls in my group did and they turned out wonderful. I don't live in Rome so this won't become a regular place for me but I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nail salon in this area. read more

I have come here a few times and had no issues, I think the owner is funny but based on previous reviews I can see how it can offend some people. I came in wanting a gel manicure and pedicure. The lady came to do my manicure while the other lady did my pedicure, she looked right at my hands and said "you don't need a manicure". Now I haven't had my nails done in over two months so I don't know what she meant by that but she just told me they need filing. I was a little confused but thought oh well, ok. She did take a a nail file block and went over my nails w that then applied the gel polish, she walked away, then came back squirted lotion on the hand not in the drying machine and said once that's dry rub that lotion in. And that was that. Pedicure was great the lady doing that worked really hard, then when it came time to pay I was charged the full price of a gel manicure. I didn't appreciate being charged for a gel manicure when I was told "you don't need a manicure" and not even given a manicure all she did was file and paint my nails, w a squirt of lotion I rubbed in myself. I don't know if that was laziness or what that was but I don't think I should've been charged full price for that at all. read more

My sister and I stopped in to get manicures while she was in town visiting me. I do want it to be known that the woman who did my nails was very kind and did a really awesome job. However, my reason for feeling compelled to leave this very negative review unfortunately has to do with one of the employees, the younger man who did my sister's manicure. He made my sister feel very disrespected and uncomfortable. He touched her chin and said she had a beautiful smile. He also asked if she wanted to live with him. After the manicure was finished and he put the lotion on and began massaging her hand, he said 'I'd pay 1 million dollars to massage you' . My sister did not let him massage her other hand. And then finally he said she didn't need to pay for the manicure, that it was on him. My sister replied irritated to him- "no, why wouldn't I pay for it? I came here for a manicure and I will pay you for it." And so she did and made sure to not leave a tip. This is something that needs to be addressed - it is NOT OK to treat women or any human being with such disrespect and is most sad to see this happening in a professional business which seems to produce good quality work. This situation was very creepy and possibly should be investigated. That is why I am writing this review. read more
