The options change weekly, but the always constant "Susan's Sugar Cookies" are excellent so if you don't see something else you like, get one of those! For what it is, this bakery does a good job. It looks like a cute place to indulge in sweets with a friend. The prices are reasonable. I paid about $6 for two cookies and a muffin. As for quality, they're fine. I would say that they're about the level of what you'd expect for a run of the mill coffee shop. Unless you're particularly picky, they will do for a sweets craving. Not quite up to an OMG I will drive out of my way to get this level, but they're tasty enough. Ivy Lane bakery was so cute! When you walk in, it looks like you are walking into grandma's kitchen. The chairs are miss matched and they have cute little plate ware. I was in a fall mood, so I went in for a cup of coffee and a seasonal pastry. The attendant behind the counter was super nice. She was attentive and helped me immediately. I ordered the pumpkin muffin. It was very good! Super moist and flavorful. The coffee was small for what a paid and average. It is self serve and was more the quality you get offered for free when in the waiting room somewere. This place is definitely more about the baked goods than the coffee, but it is still very cozy inside. It was very clean, which is good. I would absolutely come again. I'm sitting inside Ivy Lane, which is pleasantly cool on a hot day and adorably decorated, using their free wifi, enjoying a delicious sugar cookie (this cookie with frosting and large sugar crystals on top melted in my mouth) and buckeye cookie and a refreshing vanilla almond milk iced coffee as some good music plays overhead. The people working here are very pleasant and patient, and the service was extremely quick. Everything is very reasonably priced too. I would highly recommend that anyone who loves cookies stops by Ivy Lane Bakery to get some cookies and coffee. I haven't written a review on Yelp in ages, so it says something extra that I felt absolutely compelled to do so for Ivy Lane. Here's the deal. What you do is, you go to Ivy Lane Bakery. You buy two things, you buy yourself a chocolate chip cookie, and one of their classic sugar cookies. You then eat those two cookies (where this happens is totally up to you). You then wallow in what isn't *quite* nostalgia for the cookies you had growing up, because, let's face it, those were unique, nothing's going to quite match them. No, instead you get a feeling of what *everyone's* childhood cookie memories were. These two cookies are the quintessential childhood cookie. They're the model that all other cookies are derived from, and they are, quite honestly, a one to two minute moment of "everything's going to be OK". They're simply perfect. read more

I bought a cinnamon roll and it is absolutely amazing! Different from the ones you normally get at a bakery. Hard to describe, you'll just have to try it for yourself! My daughter had the almond scones. She said it was one of the best she's ever had. One of the workers is on the spectrum or handicapped in some way. While sitting at the table eating our bakery, we overheard the employees talk and joke around with each other. It warmed my heart to listen to the employees have such a good time and be so kind to each other. Their tips get donated to a good cause. They're not pretending to be nice just to get a tip. I am so glad we stopped here and will definitely be coming back while traveling through Bloomington. read more

I have been here a few times in the past and went specifically for the puppy chow cookies to ship to my son at college. I walked out with those, a cinnamon roll and a lemon scone. Extremely cute bakery on N. Main. This was my first visit to Bloomington, and I was happily surprised by the local bakery find. Coming from a larger city it's nice to get the home town feel and kindness from the staff. Upon entering the staff could tell that I had never been to the bakery before and explained the entire rundown for me. Few s elections to choose from; however, what they do have is very delicious. I'm not sure the type of muffin I had, I believe they called it a jungle. It was full of flavor, and was heaven on a dish. I also tried their local coffee brew, which was pair with a dash of vanilla. The decor seems to be a collection of chairs and china from all over. Miss match plates, cups and silverware, which adds to the small town feel. The bakery is definitely worth the stop! Excellent new local bakery! In the old Sugar Mama space (they consolidated to their Uptown Normal location, fyi) next to Coffee Hound, this is a cozy family-run place with really good baked goods. On a Farmers' Market Saturday they had 2-3 scone varieties, 5 varieties of muffins, and a whole bunch of cookie options, including a gluten free chocolate chip. The owner told me they will have gluten free option on Fridays and Saturdays. They also have coffee and tea, but I didn't try either. This would be a fantastic place for a children's tea party if they would rent the space (not sure if they would, didn't think to ask at the time). read more

In these times, I don't think you should be using that stuff even though you may think it is cute and quaint. I got some muffins which I thought were overpriced but they looked good. Seriously, these were the worst muffins I've even had in my life. Premade from the grocery store would have been better. They had no taste and seemed like they were made from bisquick that wasn't cooked all the way. I hardly ever throw something like this away but these muffins went in the garbage. I applaud someone trying to hold up a business in downtown but the quality needs to be there or no one will be coming back. read more

Drove 44 miles to visit this cute cafe... I have to admit, I have a thing for cute cafes. And this one checks all the boxes. It has that vintage, farmhouse charm. All the furniture are perfectly mismatched and brought so much character... and the kind gentleman who helped us was very very warm and welcoming. It was alright. Virtually no seating so if it's busy you'll be stuck standing. Got a latte and it was not a latte. A lot of fake sugary syrup pooled at the bottom that you had to manually mix up. Not good. I am overall not impressed and won't return. read more

Came here for a pre-dinner snack because as an adult you decide when you eat sugary treats :) happened upon it after getting coffee down the road. Upon walking in the decor is so unique and interesting, very cool! The gentleman working was VERY kind. We tried the homemade snickers and brown sugar pecan scone. SO. FREAKING. DELICIOUS. The snickers was so soft and smooth, I don't think I could ever eat a traditional snickers again following that. The scone was so perfect, he warmed it up for us and it was to die for. My husband and I are frequent visitors of Ivy Lane Bakery, so we both agreed that we needed Ivy Lane to provide our wedding desserts. We had cookies, brownies, and mini muffins for our event. Everything was amazing!! The best part was that they were able to create a sangria cookie for our wedding day per special request. It was the best! Another note, we ordered the same amount of mini cupcakes from a different bakery and mini muffins from Ivy Lane and our guests devoured the muffins and left us a couple dozen cupcakes.
