If you need a custom home built then you would be in better hands elsewhere. I could not recommend them less. ----‐---------------- We started this process on good footing, we spent time getting to know their team, talking through the project and setting expectations. We read their positive reviews and they put on a good face. But soon after construction started we realized that this team is completely out of their depth. As a whole they are destructively uncommunicative and are outright deceitful, Cesar their GC, and Katherine one of the business owners, particularly so. When problems were encountered, instead of working through solutions together, their strategy was to stall for as long as possible and to ignore our attempts to keep the project moving forward. Their behavior cost us months of delays which resulted in thousands of dollars lost, needless worry and lasting issues with our home and property. If you decide to move forward with this team, please keep record of every interaction, be extremely specific in your contract, and keep your attorney on hand. After our move in, and after clear explicit instructions from me on numerous occasions, business owner Katherine illegally and covertly recorded the exterior and interior of our property on multiple occasions, including video recording me inside of my home while I was unaware. Katherine and the rest of the team do not care about legality, your privacy, or the basic respect of their clients. During the build they tried their best to get more money out of us while delivering substandard work. The only way we were able to move into the home after many months past our projected move in date and many weeks spent in extended stays was by going around them to schedule our final inspection with the county, by communicating with our title company & lender, by filing complaints with the BBB and ROC. Stay on top of your project. If you are providing custom architectural plans, please know that the time, money and planning that went into your build documents mean nothing to them, they will do as they please without your intervention. Consent is not a word in their vocabulary. They changed our home and design, damaged our newly installed materials and appliances, illegally dumped their waste on our property & refused to properly clean up, refused to do work explicitly outlined in our contract, and attempted to cut corners at every turn. They're unwilling to learn, improve or accept responsibility. Through my interactions with this team I have come to learn what the term "gaslighting" means. They continued to smile in my face, offering pleasantries and small talk, expecting me to quickly move past their damaging behavior while their actions and words remained persistently harmful. Product is not as durable as it was promoted to be and our concerns have been brushed aside once they had our money. After 2 months, finally Steve came out and set an appointment for repair (that we have to pay for??). Tried to confirm the appointment the week before and again messages went unanswered. The day to fix the issue came and went--NO CALL, NO SHOW. Nothing at all from the company for the past 10 days from the original repair appointment date. Very disappointed in this local company and their service.

We took out a few walls to totally open up the space and bring the house into the 21st century. Marina is not a designer that just comes in with color and furniture ideas and makes recommendations. Very detailed in all aspects of the construction work from drawing up blueprints, getting all the necessary city and county approvals and of course her own ideas from design to granite, light fixtures, appliances and of course colors and other ideas. I was a little hesitant at first with some of her ideas as they were a little outside of my box of thinking. However, once I saw the stone wall up that she recommended all my doubts disappeared and we went with most everything she suggested. Bottom line is we could not be happier with the way the project turned out. The design is perfect. Not a single thing we would change now that we are 6 months after completion. Our contractor, Shad Hellmendollar was also excellent and the two of them worked very well together. At first I thought she was on the expensive side, and she is, but when you consider the quality of work, all the detailed drawings, getting approvals, calling in structural engineers to assist, then I would have to say we got more that our money's worth.

To be clear and of course what the owner didn't publish is that initially what I asked for are virtual staging pictures with a cabin feel. Instead of saying he couldn't do that, which I totally would have understood, he created pictures that didn't have this look then charged me. After I asked for a refund he THEN said 'Virtual staging isn't interior design'. So why not tell me that before charging me?? Another clarification for the owner, why would you generalize any customer who asked for a refund as just trying to get money from an owner? Do you generalize all your customers who aren't happy with your service as scammers? If you look at my ratings, you saw more 5 stars for good service, which you just proved you aren't worthy by blasting your customer.
