Think you can't afford an interior designer? Don't be so sure. My husband and I bought some…read morefurniture (impulse buy) less than 9 months ago and have been sorry from the day it arrived. Funny how fabric on a 6-inch swatch looks totally different on a large sofa. After many arguments and fruitless hours looking for just an area rug, we were left with only three options. 1. Divorce with a custody battle over who had to take the furniture. 2. Take up smoking so we could accidentally set the sofa on fire. 3. Hire an interior designer. The least costly of the three. We went with the latter, and it was the best decision we could have made. I found Suzanne on a Google search, not the preferred way to find a designer, but we lucked out. She is flexible and will provide as much or as little guidance in the design process as you would like, anything from just a consultation on paint color to actually shopping for and purchasing the furnishings, the route we chose. Suzanne is fast, too. Within a week of getting our painting completed, she had purchased and arranged for delivery of all of our new furnishings (she also used what we had already bought). We were not allowed to see the room until it was completed, just like on HGTV. I used to think the shocked look on the homeowner's face was well-rehearsed, but my husband and I could not believe it was the same room! And although we had the option to return anything we did not like, of about 30 items she chose for us, which included everything from furniture and accessories to lighting and artwork, we returned one piece. And this is from someone who thinks they need self-check return lines. She was always mindful of our budget, which was probably pathetic by Scottsdale standards, but you can't tell by the finished project (I have posted a couple photos). She also offers redesign services, using your existing stuff in new ways. As for the area rug, we love what she chose. Unfortunately, so do the two destruction machines that sneak out every night to claw it. We're hitting PetsMart this weekend for devices to scare the crap out of them, wait I don't need that on the rug either! I'm sure the puking on it will come sooner rather than later.

Work done included removing a wall separating two rooms, converting the fire place into a very eye catching feature, new floors, full master bathroom transformation, furniture for the entire home, new artwork and more. I am completely thrilled to have worked with Suzanne, and would highly recommend an initial consultation with her to see if her services can be beneficial.

Disappointing in too many ways. Many times in dealing with…read moreLisa Michelle Schneider, regarding her work, I've thought "is this a joke"? Five weeks ago I did pay Lisa Michelle Schneider the 15 hours of advance pay she asked for while representing herself as an interior designer wanting to do work. I knew almost immediately that something was wrong and called my bank, only to find she had already cashed my check. My suspicions about Lisa were correct. The day she took my check was the last day she called me. This is a nightmare. Since taking my check Lisa has not initiated, not once, any contact with me. She has only answered my few basic texts after me waiting 24 to 48 hrs for her to reply, then having to send the text to her a 2nd time. I waited 5 days for a reply to "can we meet"? These are the facts. It's been exhausting for me to push on Lisa to do work that I've already paid for, only to see her very sub-standard work results. She lied to me and exaggerated her work experience . Her ideas are that of a complete amateur. I cannot use anything she suggested. I realize that Lisa does not have the "eye" or the skill set to do design work. At week 4 of this nonsense with Lisa Schneider, I decided to cut my losses and hired an Interior Designer and I'm happily moving forward with an "actual" Interior Designer. This experience with Lisa has been an "eye opener" for me, a complete waste of my money, and much more importantly, my time. Buyer Beware.

My realty team set me up with a few quotes, and when I asked who they recommend I go with, they immediately said Staging Arizona. And I am so glad they did! Michelle is amazing, she came to the house to do a walk through, she gave recommendations not only for staging the home but what repairs/issues should get some attention from a buyers perspective. She also did an amazing job with the property, the home looked stunning and I got a lot of positive feedback from people who viewed the house as well, commenting on how nicely the staged property looked. We renovated a house we had owned for many years to prepare it for a sale. I called Michelle based upon her Yelp reviews and the samples of her work featured on her website. She went straight over to my home and knew exactly what she could do to help sell our home. She staged it within that same week and it sold a week later! Here's a little about how amazing this was. Our home had been on the market for over a year. We had been through three realtors. Held countless open houses and did updates to our home. The feedback we were constantly getting was structural things about our home that we could not change. So I finally was thinking that if people could only see the potential with furniture and fall in love with our home like we did when first bought it, then it should sell. When I spoke first with Talia and she came to the house. She knew exactly what I was thinking too. The furniture she put into the home was so elegant and stunning. Not only did we sell it within a week. We had two offers! So, if you're thinking about it... just call her up. She definitely knows what she's doing. Also I have to shout out to her crew for moving in and out the items. Because our place was left just as it was when the first arrived. Very professional. Definitely recommend them 10000000000000%.
