My husband and I have never had anything custom framed but decide to invest in it now that we're no longer moving around as frequently. We found I've Been Framed by looking up local businesses in the area and decided to try it out. Diana was very helpful to walk us through all the options of different backgrounds and frame and offered her professional opinion. She also explained the differences in the type of glass. We were updated via text when our frames were ready for pick up just a couple weeks later, and considering we brought them in during the holiday time, we were impressed with the turnaround. Unfortunately, 6 months later one of the more framings started curling at the sides. We were able to bring it in and they fixed it for us with no charge. They told us the reason was likely due to a bad batch of the backings they received as they experienced this issue with other customers who got the same batch. read more

Was looking for somewhere to stretch a canvas painting we brought back from our honeymoon and this shop did a great job. Went to a place up the street but they were closed, so found this place on yelp, not sure why it didn't show during my initial search. Straight talk? My knowledge of framing is super limited. In the past, I've avoided it due to high costs and the fact I don't have too much that needs to be framed. That being said, my sister-in-law gifted us a nice painting for our wedding and I knew we needed to get it framed ASAP. A quick Yelp search led me here, and the experience was great! Again, I wasn't quite sure what I wanted but definitely wasn't looking to pay an arm and a leg. The ladies here showed me a few different options and in the end, I knew I could trust them to make the painting look as great as possible. They have so many different styles and options, I sort of regretted not looking around more before landing on my final choice. 1 star. Don't waste your time here. Although the ladies at the front were very helpful, I will not be coming back. Do not bring your sports jersey here for framing. I brought in a soccer jersey for framing. When I went to pick up, I noticed 2 smalls holes in the jersey and the right sleeve was pulling noticeably. Of course they apologized and agreed to fix it. I came back a week later to pick up and find a piece of a plastic hanger sticking out of the sleeve. They apologized again and agreed to fix. Now for the final product.... #1. They damaged the jersey. 2. The sleeves are not even on both sides. Did they out of rulers? 3. They gave us a chipped photo frame. Do not recommend. read more

This place has by far been the best place we've been to to frame our concert posters, my husband and I are big concert goers and travel around the world to see our favorite bands, we wanted to get something special and unique done with them since they have a special meaning to both of us. I'm going to agree with Frank M. on this one. They did a very good job and they treated me like a VIP customer! -I was a bit skeptical after reading Lauren's review here but figured I'd give it a shot since its super convenient to my office and I had a somewhat cheap piece of artwork that I wanted to get a nice frame job on (this way, if they did a good job, I could trust them with my diplomas later on). -Their prices were pretty reasonable and they had a wide variety of glass/frames to choose from; I had no idea how different types of glass could have such drastic differences from each other! -I wasn't in a rush to get my art work framed...but they did ask when I needed it by so I'm assuming they can expedite the work if need be. I'll post a picture of the great job they did. I will admit, they did have a few pieces of fuzz on the frame on the inside that I pointed out however they quickly took it back and worked on it for a few minutes until it was PERFECT! All in all, I'll be coming back and referring these ladies and their good work to my co-workers and friends! read more

People in the art business know that pricing varies WILDLY for these services. I was frantically calling around to see who could stretch several canvases for a gallery show in a very short turnaround time, and deliver them to a concert venue in time for a show. I've spent more money here than I'd care to admit, not because it's a pricey location but because they have framed ALL my prints, art work and pictures. First, this is a family owned shop. A++ in my book. (Fun fact: The building was originally owned by Mary Brickell who sold it to one of the relatives of the current owners.) Every time I've gone to get something framed, the people are extremely helpful wth plenty of creative suggestions that are within my budget. The last time I got a print framed I decided on the cheaper glass option and when I picked up my framed print, I see the shop owner used the museum quality glass at no extra cost to me because, as she said, "During the process we saw that it would compelment your print better." To me, this is execptional customer service and really providing your client with the best product out there. As of today, the shop is located right next to Tobacco Road but will be moving somewhere near the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts because there is a massive construction project across the street from the current location that is making parking a mission for customers. Try to not let this deter you. If you want to support a local, family owned business, who provides a quality product, then go to I've Been Framed. Exceptional service and product. read more

This place is horrible! I have been there on three separate occassions and each time they messed up - two diplomas were switched and put in the wrong frames, a picture was framed upside down, and the last time the pictures were not evenly spaced in the frame so that it was completely off-center. After the third time, I called and explained that I was upset that I had paid HUNDREDS of dollars only to have them make mistakes every time. The woman working there was extremely rude and did not apologize. I should note that the first two times they messed up, they also did not apologize and tried to blame the picture being upside down on me. I have NEVER experienced such poor customer service and I would never treat a customer or client this way. I have never written a poor review about a place but truly felt that other customers should be warned before going here. I've Been Framed charges high prices for poor quality work and horrendous "customer service." Do not go here! read more

I bought 2 large canvases in Bali that I needed stretched. The ladies at I've Been Framed were super friendly and knowledgable about the best options for my project. I dropped off the canvases on a Thursday and I picked them up on Tuesday paying $117 for both of the stretched canvases. They did a great job and gave me some complimentary wall hooks and a few clear dome stickers to put on the bottom corners of the frames so they would lay flat on the wall. This is the first time I've had canvases stretched and was pleased with the outcome. read more

I have a pastel drawing I had been looking to get framed and cleaned up. As I was shopping around for the right person for the job I stopped into this location. Not only was the girl rude, she was a flat out liar. I asked if she had a sister store by The Falls, she said yes, which I found out later is in fact NOT their sister store, and her story about the owners being sister's... Yet another lie. Of course she wasn't going to recommend a place that would clean and frame, she wanted our business. Whoever was working at 11:30am on Jan 3 2012 should be fired. I am the daughter and niece of several artists and am well aware that framing locations also restore. This girl swore up and down that no place would clean it AND frame it. Which is an absolute load of crap considering I drove a few blocks away to 'Frame Art' on 96 sw 7st and the man cleaned it up and framed it in 20 minutes.
