I have been going to Dr. Ivanoff for over 20 years and he also sees practically my entire family. Here's why you should go to him too:
--Unlike other dentists, he is the one who will do your cleaning, not a dental hygienist. I thought this was the norm until I went out of state for grad school and had to go to other dentists. I only actually saw those other dentists for maybe 5 minutes after their staff had finished scraping and poking and peering in there. When you go to Dr. Ivanoff, he is actually in the room with you nearly the entire time.
--He will not try to sell you on unnecessary cosmetic procedures like vanity veneers or Xoom whitening or anything that would leave you with a fake, unnaturally white, Kardashian-style grill. He believes in doing the most minimally invasive treatment possible. I'm also pretty sure he believes in doing a watch-and-wait with tiny cavities, rather than immediately filling them, because cavities can actually disappear on their own! (Okay, the tooth remineralizes. Point is, he knows that, so he gives your mouth and your wallet the benefit of the doubt.)
--Unlike other dentists, he went to Harvard, taught at Case, and now teaches at the University of Tennessee (he's still in Cleveland all the time to see his patients, though). Because of his professor background, he likes to explain dental things, and if you ask, he will explain in very technical and minute detail, what he's doing and why.
--Unlike other dentists, he is an academic in current practice doing research. He's been published in academic journals dozens of times. Go to researchgate.net and search for his name yourself.
--Unlike other dentists, if you are a single female, he will try his hardest to set you up with one of his single male patients. Especially if he finds out you are even the tiniest bit Greek. Dr. Ivanoff used to tell my mother, "There are two kinds of people in the world: those who are Greek and those who wish they were." Opa to that.
--He put a replacement silver filling in my molar that is so intricately sculpted that I have actually gotten COMPLIMENTS ON IT from other dentists. You know somebody's good when a Cleveland Clinic doc looks at your tooth and says, "Who did that filling? It's beautiful!"
