Cute little cafe with good food and good service. Went on a Sunday after church. Was glad that we did not have to wait to be seated. The have communal seating so we got sat next to a mom and her little boy, was kind of weird at first but it was ok. I ordered the skirt steak and eggs only to find out that they were out so I got a sirloin instead. It wasn't bad but I prefer skirt steak. It came with potatoes and those were very good. My only complaint was that the coffee was a little weak. I will for sure be back as they have many delicious options on the menu. read more

Stopped in for takeout today and got the Turkey BLT Club. It was one of the best Turkey Club Sandwiches I've had in a long time. The only issue I have is this is listed on their current menu at $8.49 and comes with a pickle, fries, and a cup of soup. I arrive to pick it up and the lady (who was very nice by the way) says $14.74. Ummm, that's $6.25 above what the current menu indicates it is sold for. Truth be told, it should sell for about $12. It is just aggravating that businesses ARE NOT held accountable for a lack of transparency to their customers. Now, I will probably return to try some breakfast items, but I will verify pricing before ordering. Here is a snapshot of the menu section I picked up today. I forgot I was here last year. Biscuits and gravy skillet is pretty good, but light on the gravy. They did bring out a side dish of gravy after I asked. Pop's meat lover skillet was also heavy potatoes and light on the meat. They serve double yolk eggs. Very friendly staff and owner, affordable too. Lots of regular guest streaming through this Sunday morning. They can also accommodate large groups. read more

Great cafe in the center of a small town. I visited this cafe when I was in town visiting family. It's your basic breakfast spot with all your breakfast foods. Everything we tried was very good and we didn't dislike anything. However it wasn't anything to special. We went earlier in the day when it wasn't to busy. We had a big group of people about 14 of us. As soon as we walked in they told us that we should have called ahead and seemed a bit annoyed. This isn't how you would want to be greeted. However our servers were very sweet and took great care of us. At the end paying was hectic as it usually is with big groups and we ended up having one person pay to avoid the hassle which seemed to annoy the staff but they handled it well and jokingly which was nice. A good spot to stop and eat but the customer service could be improved and be sure to call ahead if you have a big group. read more

We had a nice breakfast at Ivana's. I ordered the chorizo omelet with American fries, pancakes, and bacon. Everything was fine. The omelet was prepared by the let-it-sit-on-the-grill-until-it-gets-brown-spots method, however the chorizo was tasty and it was all OK. Bacon was fairly thick and with flavor. American fries - good! The pancakes were flavorful with good texture. My wife ordered two eggs over easy, pancakes, and fruit. She like it all, and the melon slices were especially tasty. Coffee was average. Ivana also offers a variety of Eastern European dishes which we did not try - maybe next time. It was quite a good breakfast. I wouldn't say that Ivana's Café is a destination restaurant, but if you're nearby, I doubt if you could do better! read more

Stopped in to Ivana's cafe while passing through Plano, thought we try it out we love little breakfast places. Location was cute and busy but it was Sunday morning everyone is out! We were seated quickly everyone was pleasant! Ordered our food came out fairly quickly coffee was decent server was very sweet and checked on us regularly! Finally got to stop in at Ivana's (did takeout a year ago. Thought it was good) for lunch. Selected the stuffed cabbage. Brought back memories of mama making a roaster full for the family. The home made soup was really good. Overall the meal was flavorful and a good sized portion. In my opinion Ivana's deserves the five star review. read more

I'm in town visiting family. This is my parents favorite place and they were regulars before Covid started. It is a great little place in the heart of Plano. The reason I only give it three stars is because the food took forever to get to the table. My 2 year old grandson was with us and it was very warm in the restaurant. It was cooler outside than it was inside. The food was served paper plates and plastic silverware. I do not understand the concept. You can sanitize real silverware and real plates. The bathroom was dirty. No hand sanitizing stations. Over all I like going here when I visit home. But was very disappointed this time around. Feel they can do better with sanitation, turning on the AC and quicker getting good to at least the 2 year old we had at our table! read more

I tried this place because of the reviews. The reviews didn't live up to its expectations. I got my 5 year old son the Mickey Mouse pancakes when he opened it he said this isn't Mickey Mouse. I looked in his container he had two small pancakes that were suppose to be the ears and they used strawberries for the eye epic fail they didn't even shay him like Mickey. I had the steak skillet when I say there was no flavor I mean just that I had to add my own seasonings and I feel like it still wasn't enough my potatoes didn't have any season on it all I will not be returning here. Went there to eat today with my dad. Good food, they just nickel & dime you for everything. I was charged $1.50 for water, charged 50¢ for extra packets of ketchup, & charged 75¢ for plastic forks. I also had an order to go to only gat half the order for my mom. I never will come back here because they nickel & dime everything, never thought 3 plates of food would cost almost $50. read more

The fries were luke warm and wilty. The fish was luke warm and not fully cooked. I was afraid of getting sick if I kept eating. A great Polish diner right in downtown Plano! We started with breakfast and had the stuffed Belgium waffle and biscuits and gravy. Both were fantastic! On Friday night they stay open late so we had their all-you-can-eat fish (Haddock) which were battered and fried to perfection! The slaw was great! We will have to ask if they have baked as opposed to fries as we don't eat many fries. I had the stuffed cabbage rolls. OMG I am so full! They came with mashed potatoes and we both had a cup of chicken and dumpling soup. All was GREAT! We WILL return! read more

I was very excited to see somewhere local with pierogies! However, the experience here was a little disappointing. The restaurant itself is very warn in appearance, and appears a little unclean. Decor is very outdated. The menu was confusing. I read through it, but couldn't find the pierogies I saw others reference on Facebook. Aside from the menu, which primarily consisted of the usual breakfast choices one would find at a family restaurant, there is a black board with specials. Still, no pierogies! I asked the server, and she explained that they come with the polish plate. This is a plate with mashed potatoes, meat, sauerkraut and cheese pierogies, and polish sausage. I ordered it. The accompanying cream soup had chunks of burnt soup floating in it. Ewww. The polish sausage was pretty good, but a plate with pierogies and mashed​ potatoes was a bit much in the starch department. The pierogies were disappointing. They were of very average taste, and the cheese pierogies were on the sweet side, which is not my preference. What a gem we have in this little spot! I don't do many reviews as I expect that I should get good service and food when dining out. I do, however, like to recognize places that go above and beyond, and Ivana's definitely does on many counts. The service was outstanding and the food even better. The owners are hands on and work hard to see to the details that make this place special. Ivana even brought a plate of kolaches for us to sample as it was my friend's first visit. First time spotting in! The service was great! It was all decorated for Valentine's Day and had such a great environment. My boyfriend ordered the skillet and said the steak was a little bland. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it was GREAT! So fresh and the peppers added a sweet kick to it. My little brother got the chocolate chip pancakes from the kids menu but they were too large for him to finish. Overall great experience. read more
