I am compelled to share my deeply disappointing experience with Dr. Walks and his practice. To be fair, some of the initial issues stemmed from a pharmacy shutting down, which created understandable delays. However, since then, the level of service and communication from Dr. Walks and his team has been utterly unacceptable.
Despite numerous attempts to address critical medication needs, I have been met with complete radio silence. My insurance company and new provider have both requested my medical records to facilitate the transition of my care, but Dr. Walks' office has failed to respond to any of these urgent requests despite waiting the time they requested. I have also been consistently ignored despite repeated follow-ups.
During my last appointment, I expressed the difficulties I was facing and was met with a dismissive attitude. Dr. Walks stated he was unwilling to invest the time required to complete necessary documentation for my insurance company. This response was unhelpful considering the time and effort I had already invested in trying to resolve these issues.
It is worth noting that while Dr. Walks may be a decent provider, the administration surrounding him is woefully inadequate. The office staff, particularly "Paris" who answers the phone, routinely exhibits confusion and often responds with vague statements like, "I'm not at the office I don't know what's going on" This lack of competence and communication has compounded the frustration and stress I've experienced.
In summary, while Dr. Walks may have the potential to provide quality care, the administrative failures of his practice have severely compromised my ability to receive timely and effective medical attention. I would advise potential patients to consider these significant shortcomings before seeking care from Dr. Walks and his team. read more
