I was suicidal, and at a dangerously low weight. My extreme anxiety and depression had spiraled far out of control, and at 28, my parents were incredibly worried about me. I lost my job, moved home, and went to bed, for two years. I had been to therapy before, but never worked with a psychiatrist concerning adjusting my medications to specific levels. He started me out slowly with different anti-anxiety and antidepressants. Some worked, some didn't. A few years later, and I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life. I'm dating an actual rocket scientist right now (I know), walk my dog for an hour every day, and created and now run a successful clothing business. He has no staff, only a rude answering service and I needed him to call a pharmacy to answer a question about a script before I ran out of medication I've been taking for 10+ years. He never returned the pharmacist's phone calls, I was off my medication for 10 days, I was desperately ill, saw him in his office and it still took 3 more hours and calls from me threatening to file a complaint with the medical board to get him to return the pharmacist's call in order to get my script filled. He will not call pharmacies. He says that is his policy. Who prescribes medication, but refuses to call pharmacies back? This guy. I asked about rehab and he said I couldn't afford it and wouldn't get better. For real. I've found a new doctor. Dr. Levine will not care about you as a patient and makes that very clear. Spare yourself the experience.
