Har Jehuda Cemetery - After 5 minutes digging vines and weeds by hand.

I could not find either memorial, buried in weeds and vines, an absolute disgrace. Both had perpetual care on the Graves. I would not put my dog in this place. I have been in deserted Jewish cemeteries eastern Europe that are better kept. Shame on them! My uncle (who died as a child in 1920) is buried in a now defunct Jewish cemetery in Philadelphia. So much better kept, care taker walked us out to his grave. Har Yehuda is still selling plots. A joke!

Over and over you read how the grounds are unkempt, the office staff is disinterested, the perpetual care is perpetually non-existent, and it seems they only straighten up the place prior to a funeral. I have been there over the past five years to visit family, and the cemetery always looks neglected. Families from Philadelphia, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties have complained for years about this cemetery! The Jewish Exponent has written articles and Har Jehuda's president, Larry Moskowitz, declined to comment on its condition. They also failed to make any improvements since one article written in 2018. DO NOT bury your loved ones here. There are other Jewish cemeteries who care more about their final resting place.

I couldn't find the grave the last time I made a visit. However there was a stone down and broken. It may have been on top of our loved ones grave. I have called, e-mailed with no return call or e-mail. I'm trying to find who the CEO of the cemetery is so I can report John. Why is it so hard to look up the Section and Lot Number for me? This is bad business practice. I will be reporting them to the better business bureau.

As we walked down the road where she's buried some head stones are sinking, others had what appears to have been hit with these mowers and left askew. Obviously no one there cares about this place or at the very least the lowest bidder got the job and it shows. My Husband picked up 3 small American flags off the ground. 1 still attached to a stick so he put it back in the ground. 1 with no stick so he kept it to dispose of properly and 1 was "shredded " so that too will be dropped off at a VFW post. You have a list of rules at the entrance of what is allowed and not. With a time line of when flowers and other decorations will be disposed of for appearance sake yet, the place is left looking worse by yourselves.
