We procured Ivan Carlson to do the lighting for our October 17, 2008 wedding at A New Leaf after seeing another wedding that they lit and created a lounge for. Their prices were very, very affordable compared to another place I had contacted. And the final result looked great! There was much more lighting than I expected. I had thought that the contract listed lighting for the ceremony and dance floor, but they lit the ENTIRE space, which is what I wanted, but assumed I couldn't afford. It looked breathtaking. My stomach flipped when the bus rounded the corner and we caught a glimpse of the room glowing from the outside. I recommend that all New Leaf brides get lighting if they can swing it. Like the "candle treatment," it's a worthy investment. We also ordered arm chairs and end tables from Ivan Carlson. Our sales rep, Haley Achermann, was very patient with my ever-changing furniture orders as I figured out the best layout for our event. She also allowed me to make changes to my contract without penalty, which is wonderful to me. I was introduced to Chase @ Ivan Carlson by a Phil Stefanie cater representative for my wedding decor at Golden Triangle. Chase made a complimentary center piece while we are having the tasting with the cater and it was beautifully done. I made an appointment with him, and soon realized that he is an excellent designer and understood me very well . I wanted something classy, earthy, modern and traditional at the same time that include all these 5 elements: water, fire, wood, earth, metal. Good luck for Chinese standard. He is so nice to talk to, I showed him a couple pics of the design I like and he immediately came up with several brilliant ideas for my wedding. The second appointment, he made me a sample centerpiece, I was amazed! I was talking to another florist and they gave me a $1000 less price, but Chase's design was at least 100 times better. I end up paying over $5K for the wedding including ceremony and reception and it was totally worth every penny. On the wedding day, some small items were not delivered by the company, but Chase gave me a full refund for all the items that were missed. The very ornate bird cage design with branches and butterflies is now reserved by the reception venue Golden Triangle, because the owners loved them. I cannot be happier with Chase.
