We are still just so blown away with how exquisite Amer's decor is and what a wonderful person he is to work with. We used him as the decorator for our daughter's mehndi at Stonegate and the wedding reception at Drury Lane. Both events were out of this world beautiful, all thanks to Amer. He was referred to us by several friends who had used him for their children's weddings, as well as by our party planner, Alina Tariq. Also, his Instagram page is filled with examples of his impressive decor sense and abilities. When we started venue selections, we had a phone meeting with him and Alina to discuss the logistics of our party size and the locations we were looking into. He helped guide us to make the right decision for our vision and the size of our wedding party, all without even being hired yet. Once we had selected our locations, we started the interview process for decorators. Amer agreed to have a meeting with us after 11 pm (after Ramadan tarvaveeh prayer) to help with the various time zones we were all in (London, New York, Indiana, Chicago). That call went past 1 am. He went through my daughter's Pinterest board with us and discussed our outfits, etc, all to come up with a bespoke plan and budget. We were so excited by how he brought together all our visions. As it got closer to our wedding date, he met with us in person to discuss final details. Amer charges by the entire package as a whole, rather than nickel and dime line item by line item (which other decorators seem to do).  Day of: WOW!!! There are no words great enough to explain how blown away we were with the results on both days. Every single detail was carefully curated to bring our vision to life even better than we could have imagined. The mehndi pre-wedding was vibrant, festive, and majestic! He made some last-minute creative changes, but they were a perfect addition to complement our wedding party clothing. He's a pure artist and creates the most breathtaking events. The wedding was beyond luxurious and enchanting. My daughter really wanted to have an outdoor Italian destination wedding, but our party size was over 800, and the reception was in the heat of July! He helped bring all the details she loved from her Pinterest Board alive, but in a Midwest banquet hall! Her reception had the most elegant drapery with serene fountains and florals, along with endless candlelights. He outdoes himself with every event. It was jaw-dropping amazing, and every single person had nothing but great things to say about the wedding. An extra bonus to his decor services is his content team (@Halal.creators), which he hires to document the decor. We would not have had the next day's excellent video and pictures of the decor/event without this. Even our other vendor teams shared @Halal.creators' post! We had to find a Decorator for my daughter's wedding reception! We worked with Amer, met him couple of times and exchanged our ideas and my daughter worked with Amer on video calls (my daughter was in NY and Amer in IL). Amer was very easy to work with. He understood our requirements and transformed the Drury Lane Hall in to a welcoming spectacular wedding environment. I looked at several decorators for my wedding, but I couldn't stop thinking about Amer's designs. I first saw them at a wedding I attended last year and I was blown away. So I used him for my mendi, shaadi, and walima and he did not disappoint. He even impressed my mom, who is skeptical of vendors and extremely picky. His floral arrangements are full and beautiful. He uses the richest fabrics, which make your wedding look luxurious. Most importantly, Amer has a great eye for colors and doesn't make anything look gaudy or tacky. Some desi weddings are over the top in a bad way. Amer makes everything grand but uses color schemes that are flattering and not too loud. If you want a rich, gorgeous, high end wedding, Amer is your guy. One of banquet halls was running 2 hours late on my walima event and Amer still managed to execute everything perfectly. That's super impressive. I scanned my banquet halls beforehand, looking for any mistakes or mishaps with the decor. My mom and I couldn't find anything to complain about. It was simply perfect. There is no one better in the Midwestern area do your wedding decor. If you can swing it financially, you have to book him. He is worth every penny! Just hire him! read more

Honestly, I don't know where to begin. Amer Design Studio did the decor for my henna day and the wedding day. Working with Amer was a horrible experience. He does not listen to what you want, rather he tells you what he thinks will look good (his suggestions are always his easiest way out). He is extremely overpriced. I visited many decorators, and by far he was the highest priced. At the end, to reach somewhat around our budget, he cut over half of the decorations that I had asked for. The isle was the biggest desire of mine in my wedding decorations and at first he said he'll be able to do it but then after we signed the contract, he said that it didn't make sense, etc. I dealt with all of his unprofessionalism because I genuinely liked his work. The very first contract he sent me over was completely someone else's contract with practically the same decorations listed (going to show that all of his work is repetitive, never anything unique). The contract had a fraction of the cost on the same decor we discussed. When I asked him to resend the contract with the mistakes fixed, he fixed some but then added other mistakes like the parent's names which were incorrect. Overall, I believe he sent me the contract about 5 times and at the end, it still had mistakes but I gave up and just signed the incorrect contract. Come the days of the henna and the wedding - he truly let us down. On the henna day, the stage was crooked. The food canopies were not placed in their correct spots and the center pieces were just thrown onto the tables with no regard. We asked him to fix the stage and the canopies which he spent a few minutes attempting to fix and then he left saying it was not his job to fix things (things being the decor!!). On the wedding day, he did much of the same. He refused to lite the candles that were in the backdrop setup because he said that was not his job, that it was the venues job to lite the candles. However, the venue said that it's not their job because they cannot take a risk with lighting candles that are near/on the decorations (cloth). On the wedding day, Amer did add in fresh flower arrangements on top of what we had discussed. When we complained to him about the day before and some of the things we were unhappy with on the day of the wedding, he insulted us and said that "people never notice all that we do and all the things we give for free to them" and left. Yes, the stages in the pictures look nice, but I would not recommend him to anyone. He is the most unprofessional, rude, and expensive vendor I dealt with in the whole wedding process. Unless you have no budget, or all the money to spend in the world, don't go with him. He acted as if he was working for us for free and doing us a huge favor. The biggest mistake we made in this process after picking him as our decorator, was paying him the entire amount in advance. No matter what, do not pay him the entire amount in advance because then you will experience what my family and I went through. read more

Amer did the wedding decorations for all 3 of the wedding events my wife and I had. For all 3 events, the decor was exquisite with people commenting on how nice everything looked. The center pieces were all amazing and the stage looked stunning. All of our pictures turned out great because of how nice the place was decorated!!
