I have used Iron City Delivery on a few occasions when I am feeling lazy and just want to be at…read morehome. Unlike some of the other reviewers, the timing on mine has been pretty accurate. There was one time it was behind schedule and the driver was new. So I can give a little grace on that. That is also the only weird experience with the drivers. I can't remember specifically but it was one of those "tell you all of my troubles" experiences. The price on it really isn't that bad. But you do want to pay attention as some places are more expensive than others. The app is not terrible, but there are a lot of things that aren't very user friendly. Once you have clicked on a restaurant, it is not seamless to get back to the restaurant list. I also have found it difficult to clear things once you have added it to the cart. For a while, they had the best selection of places. But I have recently learned of some other places that have as many if not more. All in all nothing terrible has happened. But I haven't been blown away with the app in general. So that marks my experience as A-ok.

My wife and I had the misfortune of ordering food from Iron City Delivery tonight. We placed an…read moreorder for some food from Brixx. I'll list the events chronologically. 5:43 PM - Placed order. So far so good. 6:35 PM - Driver arrived at the restaurant. 6:35 PM - Driver is heading my way. So, I figured that he should be here in about ten minutes since I don't live far from Brixx. 7:18 PM - I get a call from the driver who informs me that he's 8 minutes from my house and he's having car trouble but I can drive to his location to pick up my food from him. When I told him that I ordered and paid for delivery so that I wouldn't have to leave the house, I was accused of being "uppity," I kid you not. The delivery driver called me uppity. 7:20 - I call Iron City and let them know that my delivery driver wanted me to drive to him to get my food and that he was rude. They apologize, apparently unaware that their driver is broken down. 7:33 - I get a call from Iron City saying they've dispatched another driver to pick up the food from the broken down driver. He should be at my house in 5-10 minutes. 8:21 PM - Driver shows up, apologizes for the other driver, gives us our extremely cold food that was picked up almost two hours ago from the restaurant and leaves. Aside from the fact that I had a delivery driver who wanted me to pick up the food from him that I'd paid to have delivered, our order took over 2.5 hours from the time we placed it, the food arrived ice cold, and I was called "uppity," it was great. I'll be avoiding this place from here on out, thank you very much.

I've been curious about these types of establishments for some time. A friend provided us with meal…read moreservice this week. The ingredients are gluten free and organic. You can read the ingredients and you can comprehend what the items are. The meals are prepared meals that are sealed. This is not a service like Blue Apron or Hello Fresh. You heat and serve the dishes you receive. Our box contained (4) of the most popular dishes. Bruschetta Chicken- the chicken had decent flavor and was of good quality. The potatoes and vegetables were virtually inedible. Further the heating instructions weren't the best option for this dish. The chicken obviously has the longest heat time. The instructions stated to heat the chicken with the potatoes. The chicken ended up under heated and the potatoes over heated. The vegetables were to be heated separately and they were peppers onions and mush of broccoli squash. 3 Bean Turkey Chili- the chili wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. The flavor wasn't off-putting per se but my 12 yr old that eats everything and anything couldn't choke it down. He ate less than half of it and tapped out. Veggie Pasta - haven't opened it yet. May give it away. And there was one other meal. My daughters nanny ate it. She said it wasn't bad it just had no flavor. Eating clean is far different than eating good tasting unhealthy food. Eating clean does not have to be a bad experience. Microwaving left over meal prep at $9-13.00 per meal per person is not appealing to me. The only way the meals get cheaper is if you purchase more of them. Upward of 12 weekly meals at around 108 bucks a week drops you to $9.00 a meal. I can prepare clean fresh meals for way less than $400 a month! Convenient - yes. Healthy - yes Good? No It's a cool idea. This version is way too expensive for what is essentially leftovers. They should really fine tune their heating instructions and improve on a few of those recipes.

Eight Eleven Catering - The main course (full description in my review)

Before I start my review I pray whomever reads it, it touches you like the food touched my stomach…read more Eight-Eleven is a one stop shop! Lamar and his team came with decor, table settings, plates, utensils, lighting for pictures and an aura that's contagious. The food presentation alone deserves its own review! Trying to be present amongst the presences of others, while getting content was tricky within this situation. It was a "surprise" birthday dinner for one of sister's, so hopefully my photos and videos are given a glimpse of an experience I wish upon everyone's future. Bon appétit? I did so let's get into the courses. Course #1 (Appetizers): 1.) Eight-Eleven Signature House Salad -Everything about the house salad tanged refreshed especially with the signature mixed dressing. 2.) Hot Cheesy Shrimp Spinach Dip with Toasted Bread Points. -The Bread Points within itself was ran through the table about 5x times. It added the crunch substitution for chips. It was toasted never burnt! The Spinach Dip gave gourmet with crispness around the circler perimeter. 3.) Cajun Crab Stuffed Eggs -Do you see the selection of crab meat on top of the eggs? Absolutely no corners were cut and money well spent! *Reference my picture* Main Course: 1.) Rosemary Dijon Seared Lamb-Chops -You're either an expert at lamb-chop making or you're not! These were pan seared not pan fried lamb chops. Which was a smart decision on the chef's part as I was consuming other palates from that course. 2.) Southern Fried Lobster Tail -I'm a saucy gal! If the lobster tail had a tangy sauce such aioli, or some sort on the side, it would have made a world of a difference for me. 3.) Shrimp, Sausage and Crawfish Jambalaya -Jambalaya is normally spicy but not at Eight-Eleven! The variety of meats within the jambalaya was a precise replacement for the piquant taste. 4.) Roasted Broccolini -My least favorite as I don't care for asparagus so the texture reminded me of it. Regardless of how I felt others spoke highly of how it was succulent. Dessert Course: 1.) Pecan White Chocolate Blondie with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream topped Hennessy Maple Butter Sauce. -The dessert that sealed The deal! Lamar could have packed that into a pint container and shipped it to Memphis. You could savor every burst of flavor described. It truly was magic in a cup! It might be the first month of February but my new year resolution for the year of 2024 and beyond, personal chef experiences ONLY!
