I have used Iron City Delivery on a few occasions when I am feeling lazy and just want to be at home. Unlike some of the other reviewers, the timing on mine has been pretty accurate. There was one time it was behind schedule and the driver was new. So I can give a little grace on that. That is also the only weird experience with the drivers. I can't remember specifically but it was one of those "tell you all of my troubles" experiences. The price on it really isn't that bad. But you do want to pay attention as some places are more expensive than others. The app is not terrible, but there are a lot of things that aren't very user friendly. Once you have clicked on a restaurant, it is not seamless to get back to the restaurant list. I also have found it difficult to clear things once you have added it to the cart. For a while, they had the best selection of places. But I have recently learned of some other places that have as many if not more. All in all nothing terrible has happened. But I haven't been blown away with the app in general. So that marks my experience as A-ok. read more

My wife and I had the misfortune of ordering food from Iron City Delivery tonight. We placed an order for some food from Brixx. I'll list the events chronologically. 5:43 PM - Placed order. So far so good. 6:35 PM - Driver arrived at the restaurant. 6:35 PM - Driver is heading my way. So, I figured that he should be here in about ten minutes since I don't live far from Brixx. 7:18 PM - I get a call from the driver who informs me that he's 8 minutes from my house and he's having car trouble but I can drive to his location to pick up my food from him. When I told him that I ordered and paid for delivery so that I wouldn't have to leave the house, I was accused of being "uppity," I kid you not. The delivery driver called me uppity. 7:20 - I call Iron City and let them know that my delivery driver wanted me to drive to him to get my food and that he was rude. They apologize, apparently unaware that their driver is broken down. 7:33 - I get a call from Iron City saying they've dispatched another driver to pick up the food from the broken down driver. He should be at my house in 5-10 minutes. 8:21 PM - Driver shows up, apologizes for the other driver, gives us our extremely cold food that was picked up almost two hours ago from the restaurant and leaves. Aside from the fact that I had a delivery driver who wanted me to pick up the food from him that I'd paid to have delivered, our order took over 2.5 hours from the time we placed it, the food arrived ice cold, and I was called "uppity," it was great. I'll be avoiding this place from here on out, thank you very much. read more

Just don't even bother. It was time that the food was estimated to arrive and I received a call from customer service saying they did not have enough drivers and that it would be an extra 20 minutes. If they knew it they did not have enough drivers to begin with, why wait an hour to contact me? Now I know that when my food gets to me, it's going to be cold and has probably been sitting for about an hour. Also, its been more than an extra 20 minutes. I order from Iron City often. I've learned some restaurants are better an paying attention to the order and making sure things are accurate. Always had good experiences with the drivers. Perhaps the drivers could check the order to be sure it's accurate? I don't know. That would likely slow things down and it is ultimately the restaurant's responsibility. I recently had an ordering mishap and the restaurant completely left out something I ordered. I sent Iron City a message and they credited my account for the missing item. I will order from them again, I just know what restaurants are better at filling orders and won't choose those particular establishments. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This was THE WORST food ordering experience I've ever had. After an hour and 45min I finally called customer service because it was 20min past the anticipated delivery time and I was treated like a moron and told that my driver was not only across town from me but also the opposite direction of the restaurant we ordered from. Then I was told it would be at least 15 more min. Our food arrived cold and the order wasn't even right. I will never use this service again. read more

Would give zero stars if it was an option...this business is the worst of all the delivery services. I ordered food with a quoted time of 60 minutes, after waiting 90 I call and they say "it's on the way and please let them deliver" (should have been a sign), after waiting three hours I go to bed and they call to let me know they cannot deliver because the kitchen is now closed but is there anywhere else I would like to order from...wow, bless their hearts...use any one of the much better services but avoid this group like the plague...terrible terrible terrible read more

I would rate them a zero if I could. This is the third and final time I will ever use Iron City Delivery. The first experience, my driver said he had been a little swamped and it took a little longer than expected. I was understanding of the situation, no big deal. Second experience, driver shows up late, but it was raining so again I'm understanding about it...but then he spends about 5-10 minutes walking back and forth from his car in the rain looking confused. When he makes it up to the porch I said "thank you so much" to which he replied with a blank stare "the orders wrong". Seriously?? It was one pizza and a small salad. And he was late. And got the food wet because he kept just walking back and forth in the rain with it! Third and FINAL experience was so pathetic and bad I tried to contact ICD to cancel the order, guess what? They don't give a crap. So I spent $50 on some soggy, nasty food that I had the pleasure to wait an hour and 45 minutes for. When the driver finally decided to make his way over to my house with the food, he had his freaking girlfriend or whatever bring it to me! I tip 20% or more anywhere I go, but Iron City Delivery makes you do it before you place your order. So these 3 moron asshats got quite the tip for doing such a shitty job. I will also make sure to share my experiences with my clients and recommend they use a different app for food delivery. You guys are the worst, truly. read more

We ordered food at 1:10pm. We were told it would be delivered in about 60 minutes. It is now 3:10pm and we still have no food. We called customer service at 2:30 and they said our driver was 15 mins away. We called again at 3:00 and they said our driver was 15 minutes away. I doubt we will get our food. Waste of $70. Just don't do it! Tonight was my second time ordering from Iron City. The first time my order took two hours. Tonight, my order was delivered 15 minutes before the 1 hour delivery time so I was pleased until I looked in the bag. I ordered 3 meals and only 2 were in the bag. I checked the ticket stapled to the bag and one of the meals was left off the order. They charged me for it though. I called Iron City and held for 5 minuets before someone picked up. Explained the problem and was put on hold for 10 more minuets. He said they had to "find another delivery driver" to pick up the rest of my order. I was offered a refund of $3.00!!!! That was 55 minuets ago. My food is still not here. read more

I have used ICD several times and they have always delivered on time. They texted to let me know the order was received, placed, picked up and on it's way. They even got it to me on time in a torrential downpour! Drivers have all been courteous. Half the orders from Cheesecake Factory came without bread, but that's CF's fault, not ICD. read more
