There was one time it was behind schedule and the driver was new. So I can give a little grace on that. That is also the only weird experience with the drivers. I can't remember specifically but it was one of those "tell you all of my troubles" experiences. The price on it really isn't that bad. But you do want to pay attention as some places are more expensive than others. The app is not terrible, but there are a lot of things that aren't very user friendly. Once you have clicked on a restaurant, it is not seamless to get back to the restaurant list. I also have found it difficult to clear things once you have added it to the cart. For a while, they had the best selection of places. But I have recently learned of some other places that have as many if not more. All in all nothing terrible has happened. But I haven't been blown away with the app in general. So that marks my experience as A-ok.

So, I figured that he should be here in about ten minutes since I don't live far from Brixx. 7:18 PM - I get a call from the driver who informs me that he's 8 minutes from my house and he's having car trouble but I can drive to his location to pick up my food from him. When I told him that I ordered and paid for delivery so that I wouldn't have to leave the house, I was accused of being "uppity," I kid you not. The delivery driver called me uppity. 7:20 - I call Iron City and let them know that my delivery driver wanted me to drive to him to get my food and that he was rude. They apologize, apparently unaware that their driver is broken down. 7:33 - I get a call from Iron City saying they've dispatched another driver to pick up the food from the broken down driver. He should be at my house in 5-10 minutes. 8:21 PM - Driver shows up, apologizes for the other driver, gives us our extremely cold food that was picked up almost two hours ago from the restaurant and leaves. Aside from the fact that I had a delivery driver who wanted me to pick up the food from him that I'd paid to have delivered, our order took over 2.5 hours from the time we placed it, the food arrived ice cold, and I was called "uppity," it was great. I'll be avoiding this place from here on out, thank you very much.

Even when you can see on the website that the driver hasn't even left to go to the restaurant an hour after you ordered the food. -if the restaurant is 8 miles away from your home, they add $3 without you knowing. -if you have an issue with the food delivery, that's your problem. They don't care. They got your money already. -The very last sentence of the FAQs is this: We reserve the right to add 15% gratuity to any and all orders. So, if I tipped 20% on a meal that was incorrect and took one hour and 45 minutes to arrive, you can add 15% on top of that horrible experience. Gone ~ the only thing left is the bread sticks and napkins. Recently, a fellow diner requested the pickles, and staff quickly provided them, but who remembers to ask? Salads used to be flavorful and delicious, and most included large, delicious croutons. Those are gone, replaced by seemingly the cheapest, smallest, Wal-Mart version of croutons available. Salad menu now is limited. My chef salad (today) was okay ~ nothing special. Likely the pre-COVID salad was larger than it needed to be, but the smaller portions, though still plenty, reflect the current inflation~ less salad, same (or higher) price. No condiments on the table at all ~ post-COVID reality. Staff wear masks. To be fair, at its height I wasn't the prime Newk's fan ~ I always felt their menu was too limited, and many others do things like chicken salad better. But now, it's just sad. I think the desserts are still great ~ cake and that oh-so-yummy peanut butter crispy (they get a star for that!) The sandwiches and the salads, though ~ they simply haven't recovered from COVID. Pizzas (the other star) are unchanged (says my pizza-eating source!) Particularly in this location, multiple food options abound.
