So this is a small meat and 3 type place that's in a gas station off I59 about halfway between Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. They've got a variety of things that they serve throughout the day. Breakfast? Yes. Lunch? Yes. Incredibly sweet tea? Yes. Great prices? Friendly people? Yes. Today I had 2 fried pork chops, some mashed potatoes and a bowl of banana pudding plus a drink and my total was under 9 bucks. The food isn't artistic or fancy, but it's good, it's priced right and it may be among the better of what's being served in this area. The potatoes were great, the banana pudding was almost too good, but the pork chop while being seasoned really well was just a bit overcooked. Overall not a bad experience, so if you find yourself in McCalla, or headed toward Tuscaloosa and wanting to stop at a meat and 3, I think this place is worth a shot. read more
