After inspecting the problem and determining the handle would need to be replaced, he went to Home Depot for me, and got a new front door handle/knob to install. The new handle/knob looks awesome and works great! I was also having an issue with the door leading from my kitchen to garage, not closing all the way. Daniel provided knowledge around the problem and was able to repair the door so that it now closes securely! He also removed an old TV wall mount for me, so that I could have the holes patched up. My house was ridden with random wall holes in almost every room that seemed to grow every year. In…read moreaddition, I had a prior contractor move a pass through door and subsequently made it way too narrow, so narrow that only a skinny adult or small child could squeeze through. My poor shoulders literally got scratched walking through. Daren and Dave performed the following projects: widened the small doorway and fixed shoddy prior work, patched 8 electrical cut out boxes (old cable/lan lines/tv hidden wire boxes), ceiling light move hole patched, big 10x20" cutout from a plumbing project, float out old drywall repair that had a big vertical seam. He was highly skilled and at all of the patches, the framing and sheetrock installation/mudding/taping/texture spraying. I appreciated how quickly Daren worked and the quality of every job. A lot of the work was detailed but also technical in terms of fixing that doorway. He nailed it. In addition, he arrived promptly at 7:00am each day as promised, did an immaculate job taping and containing the areas in plastic to ensure no overspray got on my stuff. He also did a wonderful job cleaning up! I recommend giving him a call if you need work done.

I hired Travis who is the Bambam Handyman to do some work on a rental home. He was easy to…read morecommunicate with which was nice. The initial job was to install new bathroom faucets and conduct some drywall repairs with texture to match. The texture matched better than I could have done, but still was slightly noticeable that it was repaired. He did the jobs as required, but said he did not have any cleaning products so the new faucets were installed over the old calcium mildew gunk. He said he scrapped one that was bad, but did not clean them. To me that is just the normal thing to do is clean off the surface you will be installing a new product on, but I digress as I never requested that specifically to be completed. Travis was then hired for a second job involving sanding, painting, and hanging four interior doors with hinges and hardware & installing and painting a baseboard piece and two corners. First he charged per hour rather than a flat rate. So keep this in mind as if he runs into any delays etc you are writing a blank check. If you use him, be sure to get a firm preferably flat rate quote so you know your out of pocket cost. I had to leave while he was still finishing the last job. I was unable to inspect prior to him leaving. Needless to say i went back later and inspected. I found their to be a few issues that he did not remember to do or did incorrectly. The side of the garage/kitchen door had to be sanded and he said he would paint it, but never did. The baseboard and two corner pieces were installed, but they were left halfway completed. There was no caulk or additional paint added. They were left with big gaps. The interior door handles on a couple doors were installed upside down. Just another oversight on his behalf. He offered to come fix the issues aforementioned, but since this is not his main job and is only a side gig, his schedule is pretty much only open on weekends. When he offered to come by and fix the issues, he ended up not calling to advise he wouldn't make it, but rather sent an email apologizing that he was not going to make it. So all in all he is a nice guy who can do jobs, but I would get specific with everything you want completed in writing for an exact cost ahead of time. Then make sure you are there to inspect and approve of the finished job. Then if any issues are identified, have them fixed immediately as his schedule can be difficult to work with. First, he was available on a HOLIDAY! Responded promptly & professionally. Super convenient as I had the day off & another home consultation scheduled for later in the afternoon. I had a small handful of tasks needing help/attention. He was prompt to respond & offered his rates/terms up front, no hassle & extremely easy to schedule with. While I did have materials on hand, he suggested they wouldn't be as sufficient in the long term, so I genuinely appreciated he came to inspect & then went to purchase any additional materials based on the consultation. ...and from there, I let him do his art! The entirety wasn't a big ask- 3 smaller tasks of replacing a closet dowel hanger, placing patio string lights & mounting a tapestry quilt. The biggest caveat of this was the kitchen pantry storage cabinet American Furniture delivered, needing assembly. I already knew this would not be possible for me to maneuver, solo.
