The center provides care for turtles that have been injured, sick or affected by pollution and other dangers. Visitors can learn about each turtle's story, see the rehabilitation areas and discover more about ocean conservation and the challenges sea turtles face in the wild. It's free to get in. They do ask if you would like to make a donation for all their hard work helping these injured turtles. At times, they have some people there to help and explain all the help that they give the turtles and why they were rescued and what their injuries were . It's both educational and enjoyable, with plenty of opportunities for children to learn through interactive exhibits and up-close views of these incredible animals. The staff and volunteers are passionate, knowledgeable and dedicated to protecting marine life. Loggerhead Marinelife Center is a wonderful place to spend time with family while supporting an important cause. It's a meaningful, educational and memorable experience for visitors of all ages!

His experiments with balloons & a leaf blower weren't particularly interesting. Unfortunately, he didn't bring slime; the children made a catapult instead. Scientist Rich walked around and helped the children make their catapults using a spoon, rubber band and popsicle sticks. The mad scientist said there was miscommunication. We made numerous phone calls regarding the miscommunication & disappointing take away activity. This was a very expensive activity that barely lasted an hour & lost half of the children before it was over. I was bored & most of the adults were on their phones. The feedback was that a woman in previous years did more fun activities and the catapult wasn't fun.

A few days ago a woman and her two daughters were shocked by the metal railing leading to the restroom. The city determined it was due to a leaky air conditioning unit on top of the restroom and they have fixed the issue. i would still caution against touching the railing just to be on the safe side. In the immediate area outside the playground there is even more for families to enjoy like a memorial meditation garden and aquatics center with pool, splash zone, and water slide. A brand new 30 million dollar community center is being built with a refurbished gym, wellness studio, cultural art space, art studios, rooms for STEM programs, new restrooms, and more. With the addition of the new community center this corner of Palm Beach Gardens is going to be an impressive gathering place for the community.

She's like going on and on about this is your receipt for a rain check and if you get it wet we aren't stamping it and you're not getting back in here, that's your responsibility. Who even talks like that? Sad. It was really clear that her anger had little to do with us. So then I'm like saying well I don't have any compartments in my bag could I just leave my receipt here and write my name on it in case the park closes or it would get wet and she's saying we have over 400 people here a day and that's not my problem. The young girl we started our conversation with had much better social awareness. When we did inevitably get a rain check they said oh you have 3 days to come back but we're closed for maintenance on one of them. So for us that would have been the only day we could return without having to skip a summer class that we already pay for. Tone deaf.

This small eco museum is dedicated to educating the public about the Loxahatchee River which is home to many endangered and threatened animals like woodstorks and manatees. Along the banks of the river it is common to see alligators, turtles, river otters, deer, raccoon, turkey, bald eagles, owls, heron, ibis, egrets, gopher tortoise, osprey, storks, scrub jay and many other species. Some of the more common types of fish in the river include bass, panfish, mullet, snook, tarpon, redfish and jacks. The Loxahatchee River flows through a 260 square mile ecosystem that includes the communities of Jupiter, Tequesta, Juno Beach, Jupiter Island, Jupiter Inlet Colony, Jupiter Farms, Hobe Sound and Palm Beach Gardens. After gently flowing through freshwater creeks and down into a brackish estuary, the river enters the Jupiter Inlet before emptying into the Atlantic Ocean. In 1985 the Loxahatchee River was federally designated a wild and scenic river, one of only two such designated rivers in Florida. if you are interested in exploring the river more closely, kayaks and canoes can be rented at Riverbend Park. This small free museum is set up in a circle. On the outside of the building is a timeline of Jupiter history starting with 6000-5000 BC when the Loxahatchee River watershed was formed. Inside you will see interpretative signs about Jupiter shark explorations, where the drinking water comes from and goes, and how to balance water use. While the museum is geared toward children I enjoyed all of the aquariums containing the fish and turtles you would find in the river along with some saltwater tanks. They also have a touch tank that you can explore with a staff member. In addition to the museum the Loxahatchee River Center offers various classes and programs throughout the year. A full list of events can be found on their website. If you have a few minutes to spare in Jupiter it is well worth stopping here to learn about the river that is so important to the ecosystem health of this area.
