I went on a busy night and that's my fault. The prices are exorbitant but location is everything at National Harbor. Weekdays/Weeknights are a better choice to beat the rude teenage crowd. The selection is large but some containers were empty and stayed empty. The decor is super cute and there are lots of potential gift ideas. They definitely cater to the younger crowd but I suppose you can go elsewhere if you are looking for retro sweets (although there is a small selection at the back of the store). Overall a good location that weighs out your selection and charges A LOT. Get ready to fight the rude kids in the checkout line and pay a ton for just breathing the expensive air. Kids love it but yeah...I'm too old for sure.

It's Sugar! Is so fun and the people who work here are as well - loved talking to them about curating my chocolate bags where one literally has so many variations of chocolate only bags to make. This is a perfect spot to go before heading to someone's house as a gift. There are also mega sizes of your beloved candies, Reeces, KitKats and even Twizzlers. For the adults who like infused liquors they also serve Vodka Bottles that are about 20% filled with blue pop rocks (or maybe chipped jolly ranchers ) all you need to do is add vodka. Its sugar is amazing and clean. While there is zero nutritional value anywhere in sight, the people who work there are smart, funny and & Sweet!

It's sugar was a fun store to visit. There were so many candy options available. Lots of bright colors!! You can grab a bag and go around the store and put what you want in it, then it's weighed when you check out. I got different sour gummy candies. Most of them were good. I wasn't a fan of the chocolate covered gummy bears. Ewww.. The cashier's were nice. When you enter you can ask for a free sample. The store was clean and bright. We had a fun time inside. I definitely recommend checking them out!!

This candy store may literally have every kind of candy you're looking for! This place is fun: lively music, bright colors, oh - and lots and lots of sugar! I bought some butter beer drinks and candy for a friend. We had the butter beers (N/A) later and they were really decent. The store has lots of "fill a bag" bulk candy options as well from sugary to chocolatey. On that particular day I went, service was 50/50, but they were a little busy. Still, I (finally) found an employee that was able to price a few things for me and I was on my way! If you're near the pier, go to this candy shop!

Overpriced candy for sure but it's so fun! You find candy that sold everywhere else and also candy that's not sold anywhere else. It's clean and enjoyed getting the rare candy. My favorite are the pineapple jelly candy.

This place is awesome so much candy to choose from. I got the Albanese watermelon gummies and the Albanese Blueberry ring gummy's they were both So soo so good. Soft and the flavors were on the spot. Place is very big inside and spacious and easy to move around and find the candy u want. Staff is good as well they help u and attend to u with a smile. Definitely a place Togo if u are in DC and have a sweet tooth. AMAZING PLACE

This store is within view of the Wheel at National Harbor. It is a fun place to get gifts or party favors. You can purchase just a handful of candy or buy oversized treats. There were also cute novelty mugs, pillows and stuffed animals. If you are already visiting the harbor, it is worth a visit. Some of the inventory is different from the store in Chinatown.

Took the kids to It's Sugar so they could get a sweet treat. The store is full of different candies. It's a little overwhelming especially with the kids going crazy running all over the place! Plenty of options, chocolate, gummies , over sized candy, toys, Harry Potter candies, and an assortment of jelly beans! Covid: you must wear your mask. They have gloves and sanitizer in several places around the store. Which are great! Adults and children alike will love this store!

Great selections, but staff shouldn't put candy on the floor. Dirty and unacceptable. I was gonna to get some stuff for my kids, but figure we should go to Walmart or order from Amazon. We will probably come back just to hangout next time, but will I get something in the future? Unlikely.

If you have a sweet tooth and don't care about quality, this is your spot. They have all the name brand candies and some even come in life sized portions. In addition, they have a chocolate bar and a gummy bar with plastic bags to pick a collection of treats for you and your friends. I love chocolate and quickly got sick of my chocolate selection. It tasted too fake and cheap.

Yaaaassss! The song inside this store is so fun! I get to dance while looking and munching in their candies. If you need to be energized you can drop by here and get yourself a sugar high!

The chocolate cone didn't taste that fresh... but it was still good. My friends didn't really like their strictly strawberry, strawberry cheesecake, or coffee flavors that much though. They were out of the coffee crunch and chocolate hazelnut which sounds like better options. The worker did make a remark in front of all the customers saying they need to stop working here during the summer and seemed stressed. I mean what do you expect for an ice cream store in a busy area on a hot day... that comment should've definitely been saved for private coworker talk. My other friends rate this place 3 stars.

The main concern we have is with the STAFF, all 3 of them. As I walked in (delicious smell btw), I immediately commented on the pralines he was making and said "hi, those look delicious". He looked at me, no smile and said nothing so I repeated myself. Again, nothing but a mean look on his face so I moved on. The other two weren't friendly either but at least I got the one serving me the apple to comment on her favorite flavor with some nudging. She had the longer hair. We faired no better with the one serving the ice cream. We gave up at that point on trying to ask questions or make polite conversation. Customer service is VERY important and can make or break a business.

I'll be the first to admit that Aldi used to make me itch…read more Like Dollar General and Dollar Stores for the most part still do. Back in the day, Aldi stores had product that was poorly merchandised and the interior of their stores reminded me of food pantries. Very uninviting, disorganized, basic and off-brand...so I avoided them except for the occasional crate of strawberries or piece of fruit - which I would quickly buy, then leave. That was about five years ago. I bought a lime one time I think, but I was building up my nerve over time in small doses lol. I started going into a few more Aldi locations consistently about two years ago after someone turned me on to those CLANCY'S chips. Couldn't believe how good they were and for such a ridiculously low price. For many years prior I was going to regular grocery stores or Walmart/Target spending $4-$6 for a "family size" bag of chips that's two-thirds air anyway. Where those KETTLE brand chips were on "sale" for $2.50 a bag. Otherwise, $5 a bag. I don't buy chips from anywhere other than Aldi now. Same chips $1 a bag, or less depending on which you buy. Although limited, their produce is suprisingly good too. And even some organic stuff if that's your thing. An Aldi cucumber - 49¢. A Safeway cucumber - $1.29 An Aldi avocado - 69¢. Safeway/Giant - $1.59 Mixed salad greens, Aldi $2.49. Safeway - $6. They even sell a smaller size where Safeway only sells the $6 plastic package. The lines are often too long; you bag your own groceries (so bring your reusable bags); no self checkout; buy your plastic bags; all maladies not uncommon to the traditional chains these days so no big deal there. Oh, and you'll pay 25¢ to rent a cart but often people are leaving as you're entering and will offer theirs. Either way, also no big deal. The chips got my attention and reaquainted me with the Aldi brand. I've migrated into the produce so who knows what's next. I'm still working my way up! Pleased to report that Aldi's has also remodeled most of their stores. The chain has grown on me and no longer makes me itch. Scoring = 4 Also, owned by the same folks that own TRADER JOE'S.

Second best sandwiches I have ever had, but best on the East coast…read more I'm in Arlington on business from the West Coast and was looking for a quick lunch spot when I stumbled into this little hidden gem. I've eaten at plenty of delis over the years, but Eddie's Little Shop completely surprised me with flavors I've genuinely never tasted before. The sandwiches here are incredibly unique, creative combinations that just explode with flavor in ways I wasn't expecting. What really stood out were the huge, fresh chunks of real mozzarella, paired with their homemade-style dressings, sauces, and condiments. It's easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, and I've tried a lot. The portions are generous, the bread is spot-on. I'll definitely be back before my trip ends. If you're in Arlington, do not miss Eddie's Little Shop Deli. Highly, highly recommended!

Saturday, midafternoon, I stop by for an Eddie Mootz ($17) (salami, ham, sopressata, mozzarella, on seeded italian). I'm handed this brown paper bag that weighs, I dunno, 3 lbs? I have to carry this back with me to the Metro. Twice along the way, I have to stop and catch my breath. I get home, my kitchen counter sags a bit where I put the bag down. Cripes, Eddie's. And the sandwich itself? 2 meals, easily. Thick thick piles of meat and a shovel-full of mozzarella. Very chewy bread. I work up a sweat just eating this, there's so much labor involved. I ordered online from the Metro, around the DCA stop, and got a notification it was ready before I got to the King Street stop. Fast turnaround. Eddie's is now on my list of places to make a point of going to for sandwiches in the DMV. Really good sandwich, and a lot of it.
