The receptionist assured us several times that he was on a court call and those calls can sometimes run longer. Turns out she lied right to our faces because we were ready to leave, since it didn't appear that he was planning on showing up. He finally shows up in flip flops and doesn't seem to know why we are there. We explain what estate planning we are looking for and he makes it seem like we don't need estate planning even though it's listed on their website. I asked him to adjust the website since it's clearly misleading and he asked me to show him where it says that on the website. I show him where it says that on the website that has his name on it, but somehow he's completely unaware of it. At one point he got up to go ask another attorney about estate planning and comes back and says "yea, they don't know." It also says on the website they are licensed to practice in both NC and SC, which is apparently another lie. I have never had such a confusing and frustrating encounter with an "attorney" as he seemed to know absolutely nothing about anything. He was extreme unprofessional, his receptionist had no issue with lying to our faces and he clearly has poor time management skills. It was reg flag after red flag in that appointment and I couldn't believe they operate in that way. There were absolutely no other clients in the building and I'm not at all surprised. Stay away if you value your time or need someone who is competent, because you won't find that here. Whoever scheduled our appointment is also incompetent because they clearly set us up with someone who wouldn't be able to handle what we needed. If the issues are from the front desk to the courts, you know the problem is systemic and not a one-off. They should be embarrassed by how things unfolded today.

She accused my current husband of "having money" and that if he has money he should pay for my children's Child Support!!!!! I was disgusted that she would even bring him into the case. This proved to me she was siding with my ex husband! He told her about trips I have recently gone on (that my husband has paid for 100%). She came into the room chomping at the bit and she was smirking. She could not wait to confront me! CONFRONT ME as a mediator???!!!!! How does an attorney not know that the father of the children is the one responsible for CS!!!! I found this disgusting and highly unethical. Even my attorney had to step in! "Under South Carolina's guidelines, a parent's income specifically does not include any income from other household members. (S.C. Code Regs. 114-4720(A)(3) (2025).) That would include a new spouse's income. This means you most likely could not get a child support modification based on the income that your ex's new spouse is contributing to the household"." My ex tried to sneakily switch up our custodial weeks to match that of his GF's and luckily I caught it. I told her he was being sneaky and she gave me an evil side eye look. Even when he confessed what he was doing, she never apologized. I only received looks and demeaning comments whenever I spoke! It did not matter what I said. There was so much more that, in hindsight, I wish I would have said. She had me upset and disrespected from the start. NOT OK! I have heard from dozens of other women/divorced and separated who have had similar experiences with Jennifer Creech. Please Stay Away!

The case was dragged through the court system on appeals for over ten years.Finally, due to Elrod Pope not filing papers on time, it was tossed out. The state knew if they kept it in the courts Pope would finally screw up, and they did! After winning 2.95 million dollars, I lose!!!! Because of their mistakes! Then they refuse to appeal it higher because they don't want to waste anymore money fighting, knowing they blew it! I consulted another lawyer to sue them for legal malpractice, but although they say I have a definite case against them, they want $100,000 up front to go after them. What kind of legal system is this? Elrod Pope messes up and there's nothing I can do about it! But they sure did take their half million in legal fees! BEWARE of this company!
