This review is on Bill Whittaker . Unfortunately , about 10 years ago I was going through the worst time in my life . I needed to find an attorney that would help represent me and work hard so that I could obtain custody of my child. I interviewed several attorneys and felt they were only out to benefit their pockets . Luckily I met Bill .During the intake phase of the meeting he was genuinely sincere and listened to every piece of information that I provided. He followed up by asking me questions to fill in some holes that I left out and was thorough. It was a very trying and taxing case for me to handle a what Bill had been a part of ,was a myriad of issues and the complexity and extent of what Bill had to undertake would be overwhelming to most attorneys but not for Bill. He handled many aspects of my case that lasted quite a few years . The time is not a reflection on Bill but rather the circumstances ,accusations that were made about me by my future ex that caused it to go on for so long. Through each and every phase Bill explained the course of action to take. It is a very scary position to have a judge decide what the outcome of a child custody case would be . One can not always obtain what they want but Bill has showed a tremendous amount of dedication ,empathy, and took my case very personal more so than a family member would and the results that were achieved were extraordinary. Bill prepared me extremely well for trial . He doesn't make comments just to inflate your self esteem but rather educates you when you have a question on concern and gives you the possible outcomes of each. Bill is a great strategist who can take many scenarios ,factor in many obstacles that may occur and navigate to his destination unscathed and accomplish his goal which was my goal. He has been extremely reasonable with his fees and is not like other firms I came to learn of who would go to court on every issue with a paralegal and charge as much as he could . Actually the opposite occurred with him.Money doesn't drive his intentions representing his client is of paramount importance which is an admirable quality . Bill was always extremely well prepared for court , he was always in or outside the courtroom waiting for it to open , I never had to wait for him and he didn't charge for being there early . He is extremely respectful of his client and very courteous and respectful to the judge .I admire and respect him I have recommended various friends to him and they were all satisfied. William G Whittaker did an outstanding job with a child custody case that was extremely challenging. Bill met with me for the initial consultation on very short notice and was able to make an emergency motion before the court that same day. Bill always listened to my concerns. He had the patience and expertise to work through non-standard work circumstances and then develop exhibits to provide the judge, for example, with the information to issue more informed custody orders, decisions that resulted in my getting the share of custody time the judge intended. 've had very highly complex cases with my ex that has spanned over 14 years. Bill was always one step ahead of him. I briefly hired another attorney closer to my home when I moved out of Charlotte and they did not compare to Bill. Bill is a thorough professional who went above and beyond to fight for me. From the moment I decided to separate from my spouse, he guided me through every step and explained the process clearly. I never expected my spouse to leave the marital property, but after receiving the separation paperwork from Bill, he did. Bill also encouraged me to consider settling outside of court, which turned out to be more cost-effective and amicable.
