Harry has a way of simplifying things and cutting to the chase that is refreshing when dealing with attorneys. He's one of the few attorneys that I like, no offense to the other attorneys out there. I've just met some really sleazy ones. I will continue to use him for real estate transactions and issues in the future. He's knowledgeable and gets to the point quickly. Some might not like his style, but I prefer an attorney who listens to your questions and explains things clearly and concisely and provides you his recommendation with supporting facts. It was a 100 day Cash closing and no commutation to the sellers attorney or updates. As well as the positive reviews, prospective customers would do well to read the following, which relates to a closing within the last 24 hours (today is June 16, 2021) and as such is a little more relevant than reviews written 12 months or two years ago. There are so many points to make that I will have to bullet them so that each receives consideration: 1) Google Maps takes one to the company's last address. if one relocates a company and does not ensure that Google Maps, Yahoo, etc do not reflect this move, then that should be a warning sign. Strike one. 2) Upon closing, we were encountered by a member of staff who said that he wasn't used to closings, and had been called on to deal with us at short notice. So you're telling me that, having been notified FOUR weeks ago, this is what you call short notice? Literally, how much notice do you need? As a result of this utter unprofessionalism, our purchase wasn't recorded that same day, and an entire afternoon was (for reasons I won't bore you with) in effect, wasted. Strike two. 3) If you're not used to closing, despite working for a company who literally advertises closing as being their area of expertise, then perhaps you have chosen the wrong profession and you can get me someone who is. This isn't work that you're doing pro bono, and I don't expect second best, in much the same way that if I were employing a criminal attorney, I wouldn't expect a public defender. Strike three and that should be it. But wait, there's more... 4) You introduce your female colleague as "your ASSISTANT," despite her knowing more about the whole process than you? Perhaps misogynism should be an area of specialization for you too. If there were such a thing, that would be strike four. 5) An issue with the paperwork was blamed on a third party (when it obviously had nothing to do with them) rather than the staff taking ownership of an issue they could, and should, have cleared up before hand. People's mileage may vary, but speaking personally I don't appreciate someone who blames mistakes on another person (who is not there to defend themselves) rather than being professional and taking ownership. 6) Admittedly, we are getting into nit-picking territory here, but it is still reflective of what should be a professional, paid-for service provided by a professional, paid-for attorney. Papers were out of order, in disarray, and lacking in "sign here" stickers (Employer, please take note. For a small outlay, you can look infinitely more professional even if you insist on employing staff who are "not used to closing"). Also, I have probably been to more closings than the lady and gentleman with whom we dealt, so please don't patronize me. The only reason I didn't voice my utter dissatisfaction at the entire process was out of respect for the fact that my wife and realtor were present. Had they not been, then this meeting would have been a lot shorter - as would this review - because I would have made my point at the time. The fact that a day later I still have the same opinion should be indicative of the fact that this review is no knee-jerk reaction. In closing, I can't tell someone to do business with this company or to look elsewhere. I feel it is my duty to warn others that might potentially endure the same treatment as me though. Having done so, I can in good conscience say "make up your own mind." But remember, when doing so, consider this: the best reviews are also among the shortest. Horrible Service and Staff who does not respond to anyone! You can't leave a VM because they are either full or not setup. Emails go unanswered! They have had our file for a month and we STILL can't get a response. The Client, the Lender and the Agents are VERY frustrated! I would recommend going elsewhere. Came here with the hubs for a real estate closing. The location is very easy to find. The staff is friendly. I saw someone complain about the way the dress and I could honestly care less. Just as long as they are friendly and do what they need to do then who cares. Anyways, Harry was nice and explained everything to us. My review is strictly to let everyone know that no one at this firm, in the Matthews office at least, wore a mask during our closing appointment last month, January 2021. We were not notified of this ahead of time and really didn't feel as though we had a chance to react or reschedule since we were purchasing our home and not just closing a refinance loan. There was a sign posted on the front office door, basically stating that all unmasked employees had reasons for not masking so not to mention this as they were within their rights. They also state they will come to your car, but because they are not masked, that's even closer in proximity than at least being able to sit at the opposite end of a conference table. We were extremely uncomfortable, even though we were masked of course, and it made what should have been a great experience very stressful and frustrating. Paperwork was all in order, so the visit was quick and in that respect, we were pleased because we could not wait to leave the office. Real estate agents should be aware of this when scheduling and make sure your clients will be comfortable in this situation. We will be selling our current homes and will absolutely not use this law firm, nor will we recommend or use them in the future just because of this irresponsible behavior and lack of respect for their clients and the community at large. read more

This law firm is absolute trash. Anna Hale the representative I worked with there took fives business days to provide me with a wire confirmation. She acted like I was bothering her when I called for an update and often took longer than 24 hours to respond to emails. When I asked that my concerns be escalated she never provided me with contact information for her management. They also started working on my clients file at the last minute and caused the closing date to be pushed back. read more

The most unethical, scary experience I have ever had with an attorney was with Harry Marsh personally, as well as the others on his team. I consulted my own attorney regarding recourse against the firm, and unfortunately, was informed that the seller would have to go after him for endangering their transaction. I can't recommend Harry Marsh enough! If I could give six stars I would! If it weren't for Harry Marsh the short sale of my property in Charlotte would have never happened and my house would have been foreclosed on. We had a foreclosure date all ready and my tenants didn't want to move so they were making it challenging to show the property. Harry stepped in and got the short sale in motion. He met with my tenants several times and was very respectful and kind and got them to cooperate. Harry's expertise in dealing with the bank cut out so much confusion, and cut down the endless paperwork the bank would send to a few documents the bank really needed to move forward. I had a really strange interaction with this company. I'm a professional land investor...I buy and sell land throughout the US. I deal with escrow and title companies on a daily basis. I'm trying to buy some vacant land from a seller in NC. I have a signed agreement from the seller. I called and they said that they can help close my transaction. So, I signed their paperwork and sent it back along w/ my agreement. Their operations manager responded by asking a clarifying question. Then, before I answered the email, she responded again stating that they don't close properties in Ashe County, NC...which I thought was strange because it looks like they close throughout the entire state and her colleague said that they can close in that county. When I questioned this, she responded back saying that "due to current circumstances, they cannot be involved in this transaction at all". Actually, the email she sent me was full of misspellings and nearly incoherent. Regardless, there was no explanation or reason...just saying they can't be involved...which I thought was strange. I can handle it if there is a valid reason, but to say they can do it, ask a question, tell me they don't close in that County (which seemed to be a lie), and finally that they didn't want to do it...it was all just very strange. So, my interaction with them was pretty poor. read more

Selling your home? Buying a new one? Use someone other than Harry Marsh. My parents just bought a house in this area and their experience with Harry Marsh Law offices was AWFUL! Multiple issues were never addressed by the attorneys and/or staff. Their real estate agent had to act as the middleman to get answers to questions and deal with issues. While driving in from out of state, my parents were told the attorney did not show receipt of their wire. OH MY GOSH!! They were totally freaked out! Harry Marsh showed no deposit of THOUSANDS of dollars, SERIOUSLY??!! When my parents walked in the door of the law office, they were asked if they wired the funds to purchase the house. Really? Was this not addressed the day before? At the closing table-IN FRONT OF THE SELLERS-my parents AGAIN were asked, "Has the money been wired?" I cannot believe an attorney's office would be this pitiful with their accounting. How would you not know you received that much cash?? The internal miscommunication regarding the wire was horrible but it was not the only issue.
