And to top it off, when I asked for a refund, the owner said no, unless I went there and they fixed it AS IF I had the confidence and trust them with my hair again, HECK NO, no apology, no accountability, nothing. All the people that work there seem very nice - it's a very pleasant atmosphere. The place can get a little crowded during peak hours but I normally come in later in the day when things are a little quieter. They keep the place spotlessly clean - not an easy task in that business. Parking is very convenient as they are located in a modest sized mall. I can normally park right outside the door. There are enough men (like me!) that get their hair cut there that I don't feel self-conscious about it. I plan to continue to go there to get my hair cut for the foreseeable future.

I told her I appreciated her apology and the offer, but felt that I made the right decision to move on. ********************************************************** So disappointed writing this... I have been going to the same stylist at Salon Blonde for a couple of years. I'm always on time, make my appts in advance, and have only had to reschedule once due to a medical emergency. I showed up 10-15 minutes early to my appointment yesterday afternoon and was sheepishly told by the new receptionist that my stylist's client before me "got there late" (although I didn't see her or anyone at her station...). I was then told that she had asked someone else to take my appt... "if that was OK with me..." No, its not OK... this isn't Super Cuts... there was no attempt to call/text me to see if I wanted to reschedule, or to even offer me the option of seeing a different stylist. If she was really physically in the building, wouldn't she (after two years) have apologized and told me this face-to-face?? I decided to reschedule, then thought, nope,... not doing it... and cancelled. I understand if there is an emergency, but if the receptionist knew about this enough in advance to inform me of the issue when I walked in, the salon should have contacted me. Not sure what happened. Guess I will never know since I won't be going back. Salon Blonde, your regular clients deserve better.
