Sadly when usually supporting local businesses the experience isn't as glamorous as the major competitors, they often have higher prices with quality that doesn't match the major competitor. Italo Frame not only gave me a more than competitive price their service and quality of service outweighed the price of the service. They framed four relatively rare and expensive prints, 1/4 was damaged with creases and folds, they removed the creases and folds and all four are in pristine condition now. Theought the entire process they were patient and have a variety of options for framing from styles of frames, to multiple types of glass types for the frames. I bought in an old frame and print we purchased in Italy to see if they could mount it for me because I was having trouble doing so. Nasir carefully examined the print and frame and pointed out that the print wasn't suited for the frame and wouldn't fit the print. Italo Frame offered very helpful ideas for the two jobs I brought in, one a large old black and white photograph, the other a double mat in a single frame, showing a small photo next to a larger sketch hand-drawn from that photo. Italo Frame has gorgeous molded frames and simple ones too. Their selection of framed mirrors is spectacular. They helped me select mats and frames that make my pictures just pop out. A special detail - he carved a beveled edge in the mat - so it has a narrow white strip around the picture - almost like a double mat. Very classy and sharp. read more
