Worst experience ever!!! I would give it a zero stars if it was an option. The server must've been the owners son bcuz only an entitled brat would treat customers the way he did. I asked for flatware and he refused to provide it until the main entree arrived. I said, "okay, I guess the 3 of us will just share the 1 butter knife at the table in the meantime..." and we laughed. He then aggressively got on our face and asked if there was a problem. My husband said to him, "you should really just bring us silverware so we don't have to share." And he yells NO WAY! I got up and said I've heard enough, we're just going to go and he yells loud enough to disrupt all other diners experience "THE DOOR IS RIGHT THERE, GET OUT, I DONT WANT YOU HERE!" We were already out the door and we could hear him... it was the oddest thing I've ever seen. The bread and butter were so tasteless, the Minestroni was tasteless and the wine was stale, tasted like old vinegar... if it was a preview of the food to come we are glad the server was psycho and refused us a fork and knife... I would love to know what was so offensive about asking for flatware so I could butter the pale tasteless bread he brought with 3 shavings or freezerburnt butter and not have to wait 20 mins for it after the entree landed (things move really slowly there...). He made me explain this to him at least 5x and would not let it go... I think he needs to be medicated for bi-polar disorder or he was just spoiled rotten by his parents. Who knows but I'm glad I didn't have to stock around to have a full on tasteless meal. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere but there unless you want to be served by a rude spoiled millennial who doesn't know proper table manners. read more

An old fashioned traditional Italian restaurant of high quality. We did have a very enjoyable evening. Nice starters (pate, garlic mushrooms and bruschetta) followed by great mains (pizza, pasta, chicken and veal) and some great ice cream. We'll worth the visit. read more

I have eaten at this restaurant five times. Every dish was excellent and the service matched the food. Try it!

Slightly hidden in the top of the town, this italian caters equally for the romantic couples on a first date (posh but not overdoing it), tourists venturing out of the Stirling Highland and even families. The restaurant does have bustle and feels busy with close tables and an open plan kitchen opening out at the back of the floor. It has cheesy Romano/Italian paintings, fake grapes and plastic corinthian columns, but don't let that detract from the excellent food. Don't miss the chef's calzone. read more

I went here with a group of friends for a birthday and sadly have nothing nice to say about it. They kept us waiting for a lonnnnng time. There were 10 of us, so I'd forgive this if it hadn't been so extreme (over an hour!) and what came next. When the food came it had clearly been sitting on a hot plate for a while, it was soggy and bland. Very pricey compared to other Italians in Stirling too. We had been waiting for so long that the table next to us had come in, sat down, eaten, drank, and gotten ready to leave whilst we were waiting for our food! They had half a bottle of wine left at the end of the meal which they passed to us (nice of them) and said they hoped we didn't have to wait too much longer. This is the one time I've been to a restaurant where the other customers have been more considerate and apologetic than the staff! No apology was offered for our wait. To make matters worse, when the waiting staff noticed the bottle of wine we hadn't paid for (the one given to us by the other customers, we'd bought another as well) they suggested we pay for both bottles. This was upsetting. On top of this they got my order wrong, but I didn't send it back because I didn't want to wait an hour to receive what I'd originally ordered, This was doubly odd because I'd ordered in Italian (The menu was in italian, it was an italian restaurant, I ordered in italian ... should have worked out just dandy!). I went here for my birthday and the meal I had here is the only thing I can remember from that day. The atmosphere reminds me of a tiny wee family run business somewhere in Sicily and the service we received was the best I have experienced. The food itself was beyond delicious, starter of a stuffed pepper followed by a lovely mushroom risotto had me stuffed but also very satisfied. The price was a tad expensive but when the experience was as good as it was, I can't wait to go back again! read more
