The store has knowledgeable staff, and prices seemed competitive. We took samples home to check for color compatibility and then returned to order materials and set up installation. A couple of weeks later, we had carpet in the entire first floor replaced as well as flooring in our kitchen. Dan McFadden and a crew of four workers came and had the job done in two days. After the job was done, Dan met me at the house to go over everything he and his crew did. He even did a few extra things that had not been figured into the estimate. Dan was professional and thorough, and his work and the work or his men was excellent. I recommend Richmond Carpet and would recommend asking for Dan McFadden to install your flooring.

This is a very frustrating company to try to do business with. By the time I finally ordered my 700+ square feet of flooring, I knew I was going to have more problems. However I loved the product and decided the poor service was part of the cost of doing business with Georgia Direct. The company they subcontracted did an excellent job of installing the floor, but the job has not been finished. They were suppose to finish last week, then it was today, and now after 3 more phone calls it might be in 4 more days. This isn't the same company I did business with for over 35 years.

Now we have to start over. The ladies in the office kept trying to help me but Dave refuses and wouldn't even look at the sample they provided. Cut pieces to short in facia, which left alot of wood exposed. Estimate he gave was around $22,000.00 when I finally told him he was done presented a bill of around $33,000.00. When pointing out things that didn't look right to me always gave an excuse why it was this way. Never use this business worst work that I have ever had done. Simple Life is currently in breach of contract for a home renovation project and a complaint has…read morebeen sent to the Better Business Bureau. For my home renovation contract with Simple Life, there were supposed to be two new windows to be cut into the masonry at the back of the home. Simple Life installed one and a hole was cut into the masonry for the other window but no window was installed. In a verbal agreement sometime in May 2025 that window was to be patched and re-bricked. As of August 2025, it has not been re-bricked and a hole in the wall where rain water and debris can get inside has been left unattended for four months. A picture of the unrepaired wall has been attached. Whenever I asked about when the wall would be repaired, Simple Life would say it would be repaired by a certain date. When that date arrived, no work was done. I have had many such issues over the past year of renovation with this contractor. Simple Life is also difficult to reach by phone and email so expect to have communication issues. Simple Life later responded to the BBB complaint on August 28th 2025 and claimed there was no contract for the brickwork despite admitting to it in previous communications with BBB. Do not use this contractor if you do not want your home renovation project to be suspended months at a time and have to consult with other contractors to ultimately get the job done.
