The interior is very nice and as I had arrived just after noon I had my choice of tables. I sat by the window for a nice view out onto the street. While I was waiting for my meal I was served a bowl of warm flatbreads (apparently made in-house) and a little bowl of olives. The main course I opted for was adana kofte served with rice and salad. The lamb was cooked on skewers which are then removed before serving leaving two perfect pooh-shaped sausages on the plate. And very tasty it was too despite the slightly off-putting appearance. The salad was very nice and a generous portion too. I just about managed to finish my meal (washed down with a glass of tango) despite the flatbreads almost having filled me up. The bill arrived along with a small, but greatly appreciated, cube of turkish delight. Service and ambiance was excellent, I look forward to returning and trying something a little less pooh-shaped.

Fortunately we walked in early enough to get a table for two without reservations. However I highly recommend calling ahead during prime hours. However, if you must wait a bit they will likely bring out a serving of tea to bide you over. We ordered the dinner for two and could not believe the variety, flavors, and portions. The naan was amazing as one would expect. The chicken, rice, lamb and sauce was filled with flavor, spice, and and diversity. I'm not sure one could find anything to disagree with. However, I've yet to share the best part! The hosts and servers made the evening unforgettable! (I won't share all the details so you can engage and discover your own surprises.) as in true afghan style, we were greeted warmly at the start and felt like family when time to leave. They enjoyed us dining with them as much as we enjoyed all they offered. Overall we experienced a delicious and peaceful night out, filled with new friends, tastes and memories. Saying that, there are a few "official" parking spots in front of the restaurant and if you get lucky enough, you can go in and treat yourself to the usual high standard of Turkish cuisine. Prices seem to have edged up slightly but they still represent excellent value for money. My advice is that, if you are going for lunch, skip breakfast, if you are going for dinner, skip both breakfast and lunch because the portion sizes are very generous. About £20 pp inc VAT ex service, without booze.
