i really love this place. It's great for getting out with girlfriends or just getting a great, relaxing, mani or pedi. The staff is really nice. They could work on their greeting and customer service skills, they're always busy and in a hurry, but other than that the service is great. Most importantly, I am in the beauty industry and I know what it takes to be SANITARY and this place is very clean. Sanitation is a huge issue in the world of manicures and pedicures and Isle Pedi Spa does a great job with the small but important details. I came here with a friend and we were able to book a reservation for a Saturday morning pedicure, no problem. It was my first time here, and the quality of the spa blew my mind. Super clean pedicure tubs, cushioned throne-like seats, pillows, and mini TV's embellished in the walls. If you're looking for some privacy, you can also book private rooms. The service was also excellent. I opted for the Island spa pedicure, and was thoroughly impressed afterwards. Yes, this place is quite pricey (my Island pedicure came out to a total of ~$70 with gratuity). For your everyday pedicure and touch-up, I'd go elsewhere. The prices are steep, but the service is bomb. I always leave feeling beautiful and appreciated. The ladies there are so sweet and recommend services based on their knowledge, not based on to make you spend more. I was going to get a $90 pedicure, but the lady recommend me to get one that was about $15 less expensive, but would benefit my needs more. I thought it was sweet and thoughtful and I ended up just tipping her the difference of the two pedicures in addition to her well deserved 20% because I was blown away that she had done that. Plus the mani/pedi was just so amazing. The only reason I am giving it 4/5 stars is because most recently I booked an appointment for me and two friends and they wanted me to put a credit card down. (I guess it's their policy when booking 3 or more people). That rubbed me the wrong way, especially since I live at West Ave & the appointment was only 45 min away--which I kindly explained and they ended up not making me. I have been coming to Isle PediSpa for 2.5 years. It has always been a wonderful experience, but lately they have upped their game. They have added some new staff member who are incredibly talented and have increased their focus on customer comfort. They have also expanded their color inventory and are on point with all trends. Can't praise it enough. Previous Review: PediSpa is the best place in Houston for manis and pedis. The pedicures at Isle PediSpa are luxurious, relaxing, and meticulous. They are a bit expensive, but are absolutely worth the price. They treat your feet very well! The manicures are exceptional and very long lasting. A polish manicure lasts at least two weeks. My niece booked this place for us on Sunday July 23, for our monthly "Girls Day" Service wasn't that great! My pedicure was done in about 10 minutes. Next thing I know the technician was putting polish on my toes.....Done..didn't get to relax and enjoy. When we get to the registrar, we find out because she booked it for 10 ladies and only 6 showed up, we were responsible for the other 4 ladies. At $43 a pop, we were not happy. I checked out this new salon location for the first time just after Christmas. I have been to the other Isle PediSpa locations before, so my expectations were pretty high! They have many different pedicure and manicure services to choose from, mainly different smells & treatments. I am always satisfied with my Isle PediSpa pedicures and they usually last at least a month before any chips occur. Another reason I keep going back to Isle PediSpa when I am in town is because of their attention to detail, everything is extremely sanitary and I am never worried about wasting my money. Another great feature is their polish options: they have every color you could imagine! Can't wait to visit here again. First time here so I got there early for my appointment. Instead, my girl was 10 minutes late which was a bad start. I decided to splurge for the $60 'pedissage' which is supposed to have 15 minutes of deep massage. I got maybe, maybe 10 minutes and that's generous and it was not a hard massage- felt more like she was just rubbing in lotion. I was finished with the pedicure faster than those that got the regular pedicure which is way less expensive. I should have complained right away to the manager- wish I would have gotten the person's name. Only reason I am giving it 2 stars is because it was a clean place and the polish stayed on a long time. I'd like to start this by saying I've been a customer for over a year and had no issues. People are friendly, service is great and I have my preferred nail techs which always great to have options. Now here is the reality check of their customer service or lack thereof. First let me say last month was a crazy month for me with work and unfortunately catching the flu. I called to cancel by appointments informing them as such. The last time I called might before as I has ad early morning appointment informing them that I was very seek and unable to make my appointment. The salon called and inquired why I was a "no show" I said I left a voicemail the previous evening informing them I was sick. So fast forward to present day I booked with one of my usuals and she asked what happened to me last month and why I was a "no show". I said I called and canceled due to last minute work conflicts and being sick. She said she talked to owner and no longer wishes to see me as a client. I was shook!!! I'm sorry is this a doctors office? Is this how you treat your customers? Life happens people!!!! I'm very disappointed in how I was treated so be warned if you cancel you will be black listed. It's not worth it when there are tons of nail salons that would be happy to take my business. Lack customer service has definitely declined. I've gone to many salons and have never been told you're not welcome anymore. I gave it 2 stars as she did decent job despite this nail techs behavior who also rushed through my pedicure so just wanted to let the consumers know this is not how you do business.i. Probably the worst part is that I've been waking up in the middle of the night with foot pain due to ingrown toe nails. Wow, i just had the rudest experience at isle of pedi. The woman doing my feet could not have been less pleasant. She barely scrubbed my heals and when I asked her if she could do more she just said no. Then i asked for a quick polish change on my nails--- probably would have taken 5 mins and she said no. Then she said can y'all get up and move we are going to be using this private room. What was supposed to be a fun holiday team building event turned into awkward encounter. I have been a long time client of Isle Pedi Spa - 8+ years. I love Liz and Duyan, both do an amazing job and we have a great time during every visit. Sadly, I had an experience on Monday that I feel compelled to share. Although I have been with them forever, I am always charged a $10 soak off fee for my gel nails. While I don't agree with this charge since I'm a recurring client, I pay it. This past Monday I got a soak off, gel nails, nail art and a pedicure. I ended up spending $185 which included gratuity. Several hours after I left I got a call from one of the receptionists letting me know that I didn't pay for the soak off and was it ok to change the amount of my credit card. I was caught off guard and asked her if she could waive it since I had been a long time client. She put me on a brief hold, came back said "no". To which I replied, "well, you are going to lose a client over this". Again, she said "ok" and hung up the phone. About 30 mins later I got a call from the manager, Chris, apologizing for what happened and offered to remove the charge from my credit card or simply put a $10 credit to my account. I opted for the credit back to my card. What I guess is mind boggling is that over $10 this business is going to lose me as their client. And I spend close to $400 every month. Yes, this is a very expensive guilty pleasure. While I appreciate Chris' offer, I don't feel at this point the $10 is worth me keeping them as my nail salon. read more

I went to Isle Pedispa with my cousin and my sister and was ready for an amazing experience, bc this is one of my favorite places to get pampered in Houston. While the place itself is cute and fun, there were certain things lacking in our experience. We were initially greeted and asked if we wanted beverages. We each had a glass of wine and waited on our services to begin. I got a pedicure along with my cousin, and my sister got a manicure. Unfortunately, the woman doing my pedicure was not friendly at all, nor was she helpful. We were there for awhile so we each decided to have another glass of wine. First we asked my pedicurist if we could have another glass. She merely grunted and never got the wine. We had to ask again 15 minutes later, at which point my sister's manicurist got us the wine. Also, early on in my service, my pedicurist asked me if I wanted a towel wrap. My sister and cousin were not offered this. When I said yes, the woman, almost appearing annoyed, threw a towel in the microwave and started heating it. After that, I never saw the towel wrap again. She just forgot about it. She never apologized when we had to ask for the wine again, and when she was done with my pedicure, she muttered an obligatory "have a good day." My nails were done really well, but the experience is such a big part of the cost of this place. Also, Isle Pedispa is known for having wonderful treats and beverages. While they had a ton of candy, their advertised "freshly baked cookies" were nowhere to be found. Instead there was just a container with cookie crumbs. I think they need to either lower their prices or step up their game if they're going to continue this kind of level of service. read more

My friend was going through a rough time; her mom recently passed away after a long, hard battle with cancer. I wanted to pamper her and help her to forget her troubles for a while, so I offered to take her for a mani-pedi. We were driving around near the Village, so I pulled up some places on my Yelp app and saw that the West U location of Isle PediSpa had good reviews, was right around the corner. When we checked in, they said that since we didn't have an appointment they couldn't take us for another hour -- but they could call their new West Ave location right down the street to see if they would take us. They could, so we drove over and checked in at about 7:15pm. They quickly shuffled us back to a private room that felt straight out of a Mariah Carey video: gold glitter wallpaper on one wall, gold foil and bright blue butterfly print wallpaper on another, rhinestones, mirrors, fluffy pillows, a flat-screen TV...etc. This felt perfect for treating my girl like a princess! Then, the women who helped us kept talking like we were late for our appointment, and one of them tried to convince us to get the shorter "mini" services, because we didn't have much time (though it was only a little after 7, and they were open until 9). They eventually let us review the (extensive) menu, but said we needed to quickly make a decision. I told them I wanted the regular Isle Manicure ($24) and Isle Pedicure ($38), and my friend wanted the same. Each of us had 2 women working on us, and they finished the mani-pedis in a flash. It actually felt very rushed; for the price of these services, I'd expect a bit more pampering. My feet are still pretty calloused and rough, and on my fingers and toes they didn't paint all the way down to the cuticles. I think they just weren't expecting any evening appointments and hoped to leave early, and we threw a wrench in their Friday night plans by showing up unannounced. On the plus side: this place has a great selection of OPI polish colors, they offered us bottled water or soda (even though they also have a nice selection of coffees and teas and fancier drinks...which weren't mentioned), and apart from the rush treatment, the women who were working on us were very warm, friendly, and funny. And the setting was BEAUTIFUL. Also: in the area where you dry your nails they have another flat screen TV AND a candy bar, where you can help yourself to chocolates, lollipops, fruity/gummy candies, etc. They also have great products in their retail area: OPI polishes and polish strips, delicious-smelling bath scrubs, lotions, and candles, high-end skin care products, etc., and the woman working the front desk was very helpful and didn't seem to be in any hurry to get us out of the shop. I ended up spending over $200 on services + tip, products, and a gift card for my mom's 50th birthday. Overall, it was a very fun girly splurge-y experience, and I think my friend enjoyed it. I'd love to go back again for a cal-gel glitter mani/pedi when I'm back in town for Christmas -- but I will definitely make an appointment next time, and recommend my mom do the same when she uses her gift card. read more

I decided to check this place out before my wedding. I have been hearing good things about it but that was not my experience! The place is cute I sat in a little room with a TV which was nice. However, I was only allotted 60 minutes to get a gel manicure and pedicure. This meant that when I asked for a special pedi they told me no because there was not enough time and the staff told me I should have let them know before. I explained that I did tell them over the phone but they didn't care. They completely rushed through my manicure and pedicure. I was not offered a drink. When they asked me if I wanted a neck warmer I said yes so they heated it up but it sat in the microwave and I never actually got it. My nails came out fine, like many other places nothing special. Price was extremely high for mediocre service. Needless to say, I will not be returning. read more

I went to a party. The place looks fab! I was overwhelmed with so many choices and how much more each choice costs. I asked for a shellac French manicure. I was told they were fully booked and the party was scheduled only for regular manicures. I'm a Pettite woman and for a party of seven, I could only see the people sitting right next to me. Their partitions are very nice looking and extremely obtrusive got a party this large. The ladies rushed everyone to choose their color because we had to share the palettes to choose from. I thought the water was very hot for my pedi the lady told me "oh just wait a little you will get used to it. No one likes a cold pedicure." That is as accommodating as she was. Then the lady that was doing my manicure was in a rush. I was trying to enjoy me time and she was trying to make small talk. I'm not a cook but she continued to ask me how can she make paleo-chocolate. I have no idea. I said is that a new trend? She said "no. It's a really old one." Sorry I was just trying to relax. Honestly my nails looked good. I paid close to $90 for a regular manicure. Well, what a waste of money and time. I got in the shower the next morning and it all began to peel off!!!!!!!! I booked this place for a PediParty, and the customer service was HORRIBLE. It felt almost like discrimination, to be honest! Marfay, the front desk lady was very short with us, did not offer to help us set up the room, she hardly greeted my guests as they arrived, rushed us thru our pedicures claiming her staff "had other appointments arriving". There's No excuse for such rudeness, as we ended up being charged for every person that did not show up. One of the guests arrived a little late, was only able to get a polish change, and she was charged $32! We signed a contract and were not offered a copy of the contract. I bought the Isle Pedicure and it was definitely not worth the $43, especially since the tech was rushing. Will not be returning to this overpriced, customer service nightmare of a nail salon! read more

I normally go to Nailtique but since I live in the West Ave complex I decided to try Isle Pedi out. Ladies at the front desk were very nice and efficient however, that's when the lovely service stopped. (The two stars are for them) The woman who was doing my nails couldn't be bothered to crack a smile nor did she give me a menu to choose my type of pedicure, (I almost wanted to ask her if she was OK or if I was bothering her) Luckily I did my research and knew which one to select. I opted for the "peddisage" as I am an avid spinner and jogger and SO needed a massage. Basically it was nothing special. I was expecting an actual massage on my legs and feet but what I received was a skin rubbing. All the while she was complaining to the pedicurist next to her about how she was SO tired and how her husband didn't understand what women go through when they have kids. $60 bucks for this!!? I cannot believe that I wasted money on such a basic, craptastic pedicure! I'm even more sorry that I didn't go to Nailtique. I'll never make that mistake again, and you can bet I'll be telling everyone what a subpar experience I had. read more

Seats are uncomfortable hard benches with stained pillows. Music is elevator pop. Coffee is dirty water, undrinkable. There's no place to sit while waiting for your appointment. They rushed and were not focused on "detail" whatsoever. They left both my toes and nails un-even, my cuticles not completely cut. The polish was OK. This seems to be a nail salon for people in transit or do not have a "regular technician". Or, maybe because I was a "walk-in" this is the treatment that is considered acceptable.
